ذِكْرُ الْأَمْرِ بِكَظْمِ التَّثَاؤُبِ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ الْمَرْءُ أَوْ وَضَعَ الْيَدَ عَلَى الْفَمِ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Indeed, Allah loves the sneeze and dislikes yawning. So when one of you sneezes, let him control it as much as possible or let him cover his mouth with his hand. Because when one yawns, and says 'ahhh', it is only Shaytan who laughs from within him."  

ابن حبّان:٢٣٥٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْظِمْ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ أَوْ لِيَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى فِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا تَثَاءَبَ فَقَالَ آهْ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ الشَّيْطَانُ يَضْحَكُ مِنْ جَوْفِهِ»

Allah likes sneezing but dislikes yawning. So when one of you yawns, he should restrain it as much as possible, and should not say Ha, Ha, for that is from the devil who laughs at him.

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The sneeze is from Allah and the yawn is from Ash-Shaitan. So when one of you yawns let him cover his mouth with his hand. For when he says 'Ah, Ah' Ash-Shaitan laughs from inside his opening." [And indeed Allah loves the sneeze and He dislikes the Yawn, so when a man says Ah, Ah when yawning, indeed Ash-Shaitan laughs from inside his opening."]  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:٢٧٤٦ – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

So when one of you sneezes and says 'Al-Hamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah),' then it is a right due from every one who hears him to say: 'Yarhamukallah (May Allah have mercy upon you)' As for yawning then when one of you yawns let him suppress it as much as possible and not say: "Hah Hah' for that is only from Ash-Shaitan laughing at him."

"إِنَّ الله ﷻ يُحبُّ الْعُطَاسَ، ويَكْرَهُ التَّثاؤُبَ. فَإِذا تثاوبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَليَكْظِمْ ما اسْتطَاع، أوْ ليَضَعْ يَدَهُ عَلَى فِيهِ فَإِذا تَثَاوَبَ فَقَال: آه. فَإِنَّما هو الشَّيطانُ يَضْحَكُ مِنْ جوْفه".

"الْعُطَاسُ من الله، والتَّثَاؤُب مِنَ الشيطان، فَإِذَا تثاءَبَ أحَدُكُم

فَلْيَضَع يَدَه على فيه، وإذا قال آه آه فإِنَّ الشيطانَ يَضْحَكُ من جَوْفِهِ، وإِن الله يُحِبُّ العُطَاسَ وَيكْرهُ التَّثاؤُب ".
