Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the Day of Resurrection approaches, the dreams of a believer will hardly fail to come true, and a dream of a believer is one of forty-six parts of prophetism, and whatever belongs to prothetism can never be false." Muhammad bin Seereen said, "But I say this." He said, "It used to be said, 'There are three types of dreams: The reflection of one's thoughts and experiences one has during wakefulness, what is suggested by Satan to frighten the dreamer, or glad tidings from Allah. So, if someone has a dream which he dislikes, he should not tell it to others, but get up and offer a prayer." He added, "He (Abu Huraira) hated to see a Ghul (i.e., iron collar around his neck in a dream) and people liked to see fetters (on their feet in a dream). The fetters on the feet symbolizes one's constant and firm adherence to religion." And Abu ʿAbdullah said, "Ghuls (iron collars) are used only for necks."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اقْتَرَبَ الزَّمَانُ لَمْ تَكَدْ تَكْذِبُ رُؤْيَا الْمُؤْمِنِ وَرُؤْيَا الْمُؤْمِنِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ وَأَنَا أَقُولُ هَذِهِ قَالَ وَكَانَ يُقَالُ الرُّؤْيَا ثَلاَثٌ حَدِيثُ النَّفْسِ وَتَخْوِيفُ الشَّيْطَانِ وَبُشْرَى مِنَ اللَّهِ فَمَنْ رَأَى شَيْئًا يَكْرَهُهُ فَلاَ يَقُصُّهُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ وَلْيَقُمْ فَلْيُصَلِّ قَالَ وَكَانَ يُكْرَهُ الْغُلُّ فِي النَّوْمِ وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُمُ الْقَيْدُ وَيُقَالُ الْقَيْدُ ثَبَاتٌ فِي الدِّينِ وَرَوَى قَتَادَةُ وَيُونُسُ وَهِشَامٌ وَأَبُو هِلاَلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَدْرَجَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ كُلَّهُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ وَحَدِيثُ عَوْفٍ أَبْيَنُ وَقَالَ يُونُسُ لاَ أَحْسِبُهُ إِلاَّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْقَيْدِ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ لاَ تَكُونُ الأَغْلاَلُ إِلاَّ فِي الأَعْنَاقِ

When the time draws near (when the Resurrection is near) a believer's dream can hardly be false. And the truest vision will be of one who is himself the most truthful in speech, for the vision of a Muslim is the forty-fifth part of Prophecy, and dreams are of three types: one good dream which is a sort of good tidings from Allah; the evil dream which causes pain is from the satan; and the third one is a suggestion of one's own mind; so if any one of you sees a dream which he does not like he should stand up and offer prayer and he should not relate it to people, and he said: I would love to see fetters (in the dream), but I dislike wearing of necklace, for the fetters is (an indication of) one's steadfastness in religion. The narrator said: I do not know whether this is a part of the hadith or the words of Ibn Sirin.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اقْتَرَبَ الزَّمَانُ لَمْ تَكَدْ رُؤْيَا الْمُسْلِمِ تَكْذِبُ وَأَصْدَقُكُمْ رُؤْيَا أَصْدَقُكُمْ حَدِيثًا وَرُؤْيَا الْمُسْلِمِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ خَمْسٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ وَالرُّؤْيَا ثَلاَثَةٌ فَرُؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةِ بُشْرَى مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرُؤْيَا تَحْزِينٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَرُؤْيَا مِمَّا يُحَدِّثُ الْمَرْءُ نَفْسَهُ فَإِنْ رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ مَا يَكْرَهُ فَلْيَقُمْ فَلْيُصَلِّ وَلاَ يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا النَّاسَ قَالَ وَأُحِبُّ الْقَيْدَ وَأَكْرَهُ الْغُلَّ وَالْقَيْدُ ثَبَاتٌ فِي الدِّينِ فَلاَ أَدْرِي هُوَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ أَمْ قَالَهُ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ

"When time draws near, the dreams of a believer will hardly ever fail to come true, and the most truthful of them in dreams will be the truest in speech among them. The dream of a Muslim is a portion among the forty-six portions of Prophet-hood. And dreams are of three types: The righteous dream which is good news from Allah, dreams in which the Shaithan frightens someone, and dreams about something that has happened to the man himself. So when one of you sees what he dislikes, then he should get up and spit, and not tell any of the people- he said:- and I like the fetters in a dream while I dislike the iron collar." And the interpretation of fetters is being firm in the religion".

“Dreams are of three types: Glad tidings from Allah, what is on a person’s mind, and frightening dreams from Satan. If any of you sees a dream that he likes, let him tell others of it if he wishes, but if he sees something that he dislikes, he should not tell anyone about it, and he should get up and perform prayer.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الرُّؤْيَا ثَلاَثٌ فَبُشْرَى مِنَ اللَّهِ وَحَدِيثُ النَّفْسِ وَتَخْوِيفٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ رُؤْيَا تُعْجِبُهُ فَلْيَقُصَّهَا إِنْ شَاءَ وَإِنْ رَأَى شَيْئًا يَكْرَهُهُ فَلاَ يَقُصَّهُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ وَلْيَقُمْ يُصَلِّي

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Dreams are of three types: a good dream is glad tidings from Allah, a bad dream is from Shaytan, and a dream that a person narrates about himself. So, if any one of you sees a dream that he dislikes, let him not speak about it, and let him pray and seek protection from it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الرُّؤْيَا ثَلَاثٌ فَالرُّؤْيَا الْحَسَنَةُ بُشْرَى مِنَ اللَّهِ وَالرُّؤْيَا تَحْزِينٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَالرُّؤْيَا مِمَّا يُحَدِّثُ بِهِ الْإِنْسَانُ نَفْسَهُ فَإِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ مَا يَكْرَهُهُ فَلَا يُحَدِّثْ بِهِ وَلْيَقُمْ وَلْيُصَلِّ»

“When the end of time draws near, hardly any believer will see a false dream, and the ones who see the truest dreams will be the ones who are truest in speech. And the dream of the believer is one of the forty-six parts of prophecy.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3917)

So when one sees anything he dislikes, he should get up and pray, and should not tell it to the people. He said : I like a fetter and dislike a shackle on the neck; a fetter indicates being firmly established in religion. Abu Dawud said : “when the time draws near” means that when the day and night are equal. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5019)

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'When the time approaches, the dreams of the believer are not false; and the most truthful of them in speech are the most truthful of them in vision. Dreams are a portion of prophecy, forty-six parts out of sixty.' Abu Huraira said, 'I love confinement in sleep and dislike looseness in sleep, for confinement is essential for the religion.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا اقْتَرَبَ الزَّمَانُ لَمْ تَكَدْ رُؤْيَا الْمُؤْمِنِ تَكْذِبُ وَأَصْدَقُهُمْ رُؤْيَا أَصْدَقُهُمْ حَدِيثًا وَالرُّؤْيَا جُزْءٌ مِنْ خَمْسَةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ» قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ «أُحِبُّ الْقَيْدَ فِي النَّوْمِ وَأَكْرَهُ الْغُلَّ الْقَيْدُ فِي النَّوْمِ ثَبَاتٌ فِي الدِّينِ»

عَنِ النَّبِي ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اقترب الزمان لم تكد رؤيا مسلم تكذب وأصدقهم رؤيا أصدقهم أحسبه قال حديثا ورؤيا المسملم جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ والرؤيا ثلاثة فمنها بشرى من الله ورؤيا تحزين من الشيطان ورؤيا مما يحدث به المرء نفسه فإذا رأى أحدكم ما يكره فليقم فليصل ولا يحدث به الناس ويحب القيد ويكره الغل والقيد ثبات فِي الدِّينِ وَهَذَا الحديثُ قَدْ رَوَاهُ جَمَاعَةٌ عن ابن سيرين عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ رفعه قال إذا تقارب الزمان لم تكد رؤيا المسلم تكذب وأصدقهم رؤيا أصدقهم حديثا والرؤيا ثلاثة فرؤيا بشرى من الله ورؤيا مما يحدث به المرء نفسه ورؤيا تحزين من الشيطان

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إذ تقارب الزمان لم تكد رؤيا المؤمن تكذب وأصدقهم رؤيا أصدقهم حديثا والرؤيا ثلاثة رؤيا مما يحدث بها الرجل نفسه ورؤيا حق ورؤيا تحزين من الشيطان وأحب القيد وأكره الغل فإذا رأى أحدكم ما يكره فليقم فليصل
