The Prophet ﷺ stood up for a funeral (to show respect) and thereafter he sat down.  

أبو داود:٣١٧٥ – حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ وَاقِدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَامَ فِي الْجَنَائِزِ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ بَعْدُ
