The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “(1) Purification is half of faith; (2) al-ḥamdu lillāh (All praise is due to Allah) fills the scale; (3) subḥān Allāh  (Glory be to Allah) and al-ḥamdu lillāh fill what is between the skies and the earth; (4) prayer is nur (light); (5) charity is a proof; (6) patience is illumination; (7) and the Quran is an argument for you or against you.”

“Every person goes out in the morning; one sells his own self and thereby either frees it or ruins it.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «(١) الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الإِيمَانِ، (٢) وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلأُ الْمِيزَانَ، (٣) وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلآنِ» أَوْ «تَمْلأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ، (٤) وَالصَّلاَةُ نُورٌ، (٥) وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ، (٦) وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ، (٧) وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ۔»

«كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَغْدُو فَبَائِعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ مُوبِقُهَا»۔

"Isbagh Al-Wudu is half of faith; Alhamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) fills the balance; the Tasbih and the Takbir fill the heavens and Earth; the Salah is light; the Zakah is a sign (of sincerity); patience is an illuminating torch; and the Qur'an is proof, either for you or against you."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ شَطْرُ الإِيمَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلأُ الْمِيزَانَ وَالتَّسْبِيحُ وَالتَّكْبِيرُ يَمْلأُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَالصَّلاَةُ نُورٌ وَالزَّكَاةُ بُرْهَانٌ وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ

رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْوُضُوءُ شَطْرُ الإِيمَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلأُ الْمِيزَانَ وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلآنِ أَوْ تَمْلأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَالصَّلاَةُ نُورٌ وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَغْدُو فَبَائِعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ مُوبِقُهَا

The Messenger of Allah said: "Performing ablution properly is half of faith, saying Al-Hamdu Lillah fills the Scale (of good deeds), saying Subhan-Allah and Allahu Akbar fills the heavens and the earth, prayer is light, Zakat is proof, patience is brightness and the Qur'an is proof for you or against you. Every person goes out in the morning to sell his soul, so he either frees it or destroys it.'"

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Cleanliness is half of faith and al-Hamdu Lillah (all praise and gratitude is for Allah alone) fills the scale, and Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) and al-Hamdu Lillah fill up what is between the heavens and the earth, and prayer is a light, and charity is proof (of one's faith) and endurance is a brightness and the Holy Qur'an is a proof on your behalf or against you. All men go out early in the morning and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free or destroying themselves. (Using translation from Muslim 223)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Purification is half of faith." He mentioned its equivalent, except that he said, "Prayer is evidence and charity is light."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ۔» فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «الصَّلَاةُ بُرْهَانٌ وَالصَّدَقَةُ نُورٌ۔»

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ counted them out in my hand” - or - “in his hand: ‘At-Tasbīḥ is half of the Scale, and “All praise is due to Allah (Al-Ḥamdulillāh)” fills it, and At-Takbīr (Allāhu Akbar) fills what is between the sky and the earth, and fasting is half of patience, and purification is half of faith.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3519)

عَدَّهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي يَدِي أَوْ فِي يَدِهِ التَّسْبِيحُ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ يَمْلَؤُهُ وَالتَّكْبِيرُ يَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالصَّوْمُ نِصْفُ الصَّبْرِ وَالطُّهُورُ نِصْفُ الْإِيمَانِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ held in his hand or in the hand of Salman and said, "Glory be to Allah, half of the scale, and praise be to Allah, the scale is filled. Allah is the greatest, filling what is between the heavens and the earth. Purification is half of faith, and fasting is half of patience."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَقَدَ فِي يَدِهِ أَوْ فِي يَدِ السُّلَمِيِّ فَقَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ يَمْلَأُ الْمِيزَانَ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ يَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالطُّهُورُ نِصْفُ الْإِيمَانِ وَالصَّوْمُ نِصْفُ الصَّبْرِ

لَقِيتُ شَيْخًا مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ بِالْكُنَاسَةِ فَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَدَّ خَمْسًا فِي يَدِهِ أَوْ فِي يَدِي قَالَ التَّسْبِيحُ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ يَمْلَؤُهُ وَالتَّكْبِيرُ يَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالصَّوْمُ نِصْفُ الصَّبْرِ وَالطُّهُورُ نِصْفُ الْإِيمَانِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ held (something) in his hand or in my hand, and said:

"Glory be to Allah, (it fills) half of the scale.

Praise be to Allah, (it fills) the scale.

Allah is the greatest, (it fills) what is between the heavens and the earth.

Purification is half of faith.

Fasting is half of patience."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed their hands in my hand or he said he placed them in his hand and his hand in my hand, and he said, "Glory be to Allah, half of the scale, and praise be to Allah, it fills the scale. Allah is the Greatest, it fills what is between the heavens and the earth. Wudu' is half of faith and fasting is half of patience."

عَقَدَهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي يَدِي أَوْ قَالَ عَقَدَهُنَّ فِي يَدِهِ وَيَدُهُ فِي يَدِي «سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ يَمْلَأُ الميزانَ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ يَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالْوُضُوءُ نِصْفُ الْإِيمَانِ وَالصَّوْمُ نِصْفُ الصَّبْرِ»

[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said, "Purification is half of faith, and praise be to Allah fills the scales, and glorified be Allah and Allah is the greatest fills what is between the heavens and the earth. And prayer is light, and charity is proof, and patience is illumination."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الطَّهُورُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ يَمْلَأُ الْمِيزَانَ وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ يَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ وَالصَّبْرُ ضِياءٌ»

"Isbagh Al-Wudu is half of faith; Alhamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) fills the balance; the Tasbih and the Takbir fill the heavens and Earth; the Salah is light; the Zakah is a sign (of sincerity); patience is an illuminating torch; and the Qur'an is proof, either for you or against you." أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ شَطْرُ الْإِيْمَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلَأُ الْمِيزَانَ وَالتَّسْبِيحُ وَالتَّكْبِيرُ يَمْلَأُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَالصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ وَالزَّكَاة بُرْهَانُ وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ»

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "Purification is half of faith, praise be to Allah fills the scale, glory be to Allah and praise be to Allah fills what is between the heavens and the earth, and fasting is a shield, and patience is a light, and charity is a proof, and the Quran is an argument for you or against you. All people go out early in the morning and sell themselves, freeing it or destroying it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلَأُ الْمِيزَانَ وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ تَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَغْدُو فَبَائِعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ مُوبِقُهَا

[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Purification is half of faith, and Allah has replaced 'All praise is due to Allah' with 'There is no god but Allah'. And He has replaced 'Fasting is a shield' with 'Prayer is light'."

وَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ وَجَعَلَ بَدَلَ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَجَعَلَ مَكَانَ الصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ الصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ

The Messenger of Allah said: "Performing ablution properly is half of faith, saying Al-Hamdu Lillah fills the Scale (of good deeds), saying Subhan-Allah and Allahu Akbar fills the heavens and the earth, prayer is light, Zakat is proof, patience is brightness and the Qur'an is proof for you or against you. "إِسْبَاغُ الوَضُوءِ شطرُ الإِيمانِ، والحمدُ لله تملأُ الميزانَ، والتسبيحُ والتكبيرُ يَمْلأُ السَّمواتِ والأرضَ، والصلاةُ نُورُ، والزكاةُ بُرْهانُ، والصبرُ ضياءُ، والقُرآنُ حجةٌ لك أو عليكَ، كُل النَّاسِ يغْدُو فبائع نفسه، فمُعتقها أو مُوبقهَا ".

"سُبْحَانَ اللهِ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانِ، وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ تَمْلأُ الْمِيزَانَ، وَاللهُ أَكْبرُ تَملأُ ما بيْنَ السَّماءِ وَالأَرْضِ، والطَهُورُ نِصْفُ الإِيمانِ، وَالصَّوْمُ نِصْفُ الصَّبْرِ".

"سُبْحَانَ اللهِ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانِ، وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ تَمْلأُ الْمِيزَانَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ تَمْلأُ ما بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ والأَرْضِ، وَالطُّهُورُ نِصْفُ الإِيمانِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ، وَالزَّكَاةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ، وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ؛ كُلُّ الناسِ يَغْدُو؛ فَمُبْتَاعٌ نَفْسَهُ، فَمُعْتِقُهَا، أَوْ بَائِعُهَا فَمُوبِقهَا".

"الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الإِيمان والحَمْد لله تَمْلأُ الميزَانَ وسُبْحَانَ الله والحمدُ لله تَمْلأُ مَا بَين السَّمَاءِ والأَرْضِ، والصَّلاةُ نورٌ والصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ والصَّبرُ ضِيَاءٌ، والقُرآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَليك. كُلُّ النَّاسِ يغْدُو فَبَائِعُ نَفْسَه فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ مُوبِقُها ".

"التَّسْبيِح نِصْفُ الميزانَ، والحَمْدُ للهِ تَمْلَؤُهُ، والتَّكْبِيرُ يَمْلأَ ما بَينَ السماءِ والأرض، والصومُ نِصْفُ الصبر، والطهُورِ نِصْفُ الإِيمان".

"أَنَّ الطَّهُورَ نِصْفُ الإِيمَانِ".

" عنْ عَلِىٍّ قَالَ: الطَّهُورُ شَطرُ الإِيمان ".
