Blessing for preserving and conveying knowledge, and three traits of a sincere Muslim heart

from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "May Allah brighten ˹the face of˺ a man who hears a saying of mine, so he internalizes it, remembers it, and conveys it ˹to others˺. Perhaps he carries ˹its˺ understanding to the one who has more understanding than him. There are three ˹qualities˺ that will not cause rancor in the heart of a Muslim toward ˹others˺: (1) sincerity in the deeds for ˹the sake of˺ Allah, (2) giving sincere advice to the leaders / religious authority of the Muslims, and (3) staying involved within their community for their dua guards them from behind them."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «نَضَّرَ اللَّهُ امْرَأً سَمِعَ مَقَالَتِي فَوَعَاهَا وَحَفِظَهَا وَبَلَّغَهَا فَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَفْقَهُ مِنْهُ ثَلاَثٌ لاَ يُغَلُّ عَلَيْهِنَّ قَلْبُ مُسْلِمٍ: (١) إِخْلاَصُ الْعَمَلِ لِلَّهِ، (٢) وَمُنَاصَحَةُ أَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، (٣) وَلُزُومِ جَمَاعَتِهِمْ، فَإِنَّ الدَّعْوَةَ تُحِيطُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ».

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up in Khaif in Mina, and said: ‘May Allah make his face shine, the man who hears my words and conveys them. It may be that the bearer of knowledge does not understand it, and it may be that he takes it to one who will understand it more than he does. There are three things in which the heart of the believer does not betray: sincerity of action for the sake of Allah, offering sincere advice to the rulers of the Muslims, and adhering to the Jama’ah (main body of the Muslims). Their supplication is answered (i.e. encompassing every good, and all of the people).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3056)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِالْخَيْفِ خَيْفِ مِنًى نَضَّرَ اللهُ عَبْدًا سَمِعَ مَقَالَتِي فَحَفِظَها وَوَعَاهَا وَبَلَّغَهَا مَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا فَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ لَا فِقْهَ لَهُ وَرَبُّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَفْقَهُ مِنْهُ ثَلَاثٌ لَا يُغِلُّ عَلَيْهِنَّ قَلْبُ مُؤْمِنٍ إِخْلَاصُ الْعَمَلِ لِلَّهِ وَالنَّصِيحَةُ لِأَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَلُزُومُ جَمَاعَتِهِمْ فَإِنَّ دَعْوَتَهُمْ تُحِيطُ مَنْ وَرَاءَهُمْ

("ثَلَاثٌ لَا يِغلُّ عَلَيْهنَّ قلْبُ مُسْلِمٍ: إِخْلَاصُ الْعَمَلِ للَّه، وَمُنَاصَحةُ أَئمةِ المسلمين، ولُزُومُ جماعَتِهِمْ، فَإِنَّ الدُّعاءَ يحيطُ من وَرائهم".

" عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ نَضَّرَ الله مَنْ سمِعَ قَوْلي ثمَّ لَمْ يزِدْ فِيهِ: ثَلاَثَ (ثلث) لا يُغَلُّ عَليْهِنَّ قَلْبُ امْرِئ مُسْلِمٍ: إخلاصُ العَمل لله، ومُنَاصَحَةُ ولاةِ الأَمر، ولزُومُ جَمَاعةِ الْمُسْلِميِنَ، فإنَّ دَعْوَتَهُمْ تُحِيطُ مِنْ وَرَائهِمْ ".

"May Allah brighten ˹the face˺ of a man who hears a saying of mine and he does not add to it. There are three ˹qualities˺ that will not cause rancor in the heart of a Muslim ˹toward others˺: (1) sincerity in the deeds for ˹the sake of˺ Allah, (2) giving sincere advice to the leaders / religious authority of the Muslims, and (3) staying involved within their community for the call is protected from behind them."

"نَضَّرَ الله مَنْ سَمِعَ قَوْلِي ثُمَّ لَمْ يَزِدْ فِيهِ، ثَلاثٌ لا يُغَلُّ عليهن قَلْبُ امْرِيءٍ مُسْلِمٍ: إخلاصُ العملِ لله، ومُنَاصَحتهُ ولاةِ الأَمْرِ، ولزومُ جماعةِ المُسْلِمِين، فَإِنَّ دعوتَهم تُحيطُ من وَرَاءَهُمْ".

"نَضَّرَ الله عَبْدًا سَمِعَ مَقَالتِي فَوعَاهَا، وَحَفِظَهَا ثُمَّ أدَّاها إِلى مَنْ

يَسْمَعُها، فَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ غَير فَقِيهٍ إِلى مَنْ هُوَ أَفقهُ منه، ثَلاثٌ لا يُغَلُّ عَلَيهِنَّ قَلبُ امْريء مُسْلِمٍ: إخلاصُ العَمَلِ لله، والنصحُ لأئمةِ المُسْلِمين، ولزومُ جماعتِهم، فَإنَّ دعوتَهم تَحُوط مِن ورائهم".

"عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ الله ﷺ فِى مَسْجِدِ الحَنِيف بِمِنًى، فَقَالَ: نَضَّرَ الله عَبدًا سَمِعَ مَقَالَتِى فَعَمِلَ بِهَا حتَّى يُحَدِّثَ بِهَا أخَاهُ، ثَلاثٌ لاَ يغلَّ عَلَيْهِن قَلبُ مُسْلِمٍ: إِخْلاَصُ العَمَلِ لله، وَمُنَاصحَةُ ولاَةِ الأمْرِ، وَلُزُومُ جَمَاعَةِ المُسْلِمِينَ، فَإِن دَعْوَتَهُمْ تُحِيطُ مَنْ وَرَاءَهُم".
