٨۔ بَابُ الْخَاءِ ص ٣
هَرَمِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْخَطْمِيُّ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ
[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Allah is not shy of the truth: Do not enter upon women from their behinds."
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَسْتَحْيِي اللهُ مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ»
عَمْرُو بْنُ أُحَيْحَةَ بْنِ الْجُلَاحِ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah forbids you from approaching women from behind."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ»
إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, this plague is a punishment and a remaining torment by which a people were punished. So, if it happens in a land while you are in it, do not leave it. And if it happens in a land while you are not in it, do not enter it."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ هَذَا الطَّاعُونَ رِجْزٌ وَبَقِيَّةُ عَذَابٍ عُذِّبَ بِهِ قَوْمٌ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِهَا وَلَسْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا»
عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, this pain is a curse and a residue of a punishment that afflicted a people before you. So if it is in a land, do not enter it. And if it is in a land where you are, do not approach it." Meaning, the plague.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْوَجَعَ رِجْسٌ وَبَقِيَّةُ عَذَابٍ عُذِّبَ فِيهِ قَوْمٌ قَبْلَكُمْ فَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا وَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَدْنُوا مِنْهُ» يَعْنِي الطَّاعُونَ
عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ
[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ said regarding wiping over the footwear: 'For the traveler, it is valid for three days, and for the resident, it is valid for one day and one night.'"
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ»
8.2.4 Subsection
٨۔٢۔٤ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْخَطْمِيُّ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'For cleaning yourself you need three stones, no one of them being dung.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 315)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «فِي الِاسْتِطَابَةِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَحْجَارٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِنَّ رَجِيعٌ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about "al-istiţābah." So he said, "Three stones that have no return in them."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الِاسْتِطَابَةِ؟ فَقَالَ «ثَلَاثَةُ أَحْجَارٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِنَّ رَجِيعٌ»
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'For cleaning yourself you need three stones, no one of them being dung.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 315)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الِاسْتِطَابَةُ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِنَّ رَجِيعٌ»
[Machine] "Whoever commits a sin, its prescribed punishment is to be carried out upon them, and that is their expiation."
«مَنْ أَصَابَ شَيْئًا أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ حَدُّ ذَلِكَ الذَّنْبِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَتُهُ»
[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: "Whoever cleanses himself with three stones that contain no impurities, it will be purification for him."
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنِ اسْتَطَابَ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِنَّ رَجِيعٌ كُنَّ لَهُ طَهُورًا»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ bought a horse from Sawaa Ibn Al-Haarith, but Sawaa denied it. Khuzaymah Ibn Thabit testified in favor of the Prophet. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked Khuzaymah, "What made you testify without being present?" Khuzaymah replied, "I believed you when you came with it and I knew that you do not speak except the truth." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever testifies for him or against him, it is sufficient."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اشْتَرَى فَرَسًا مِنْ سَوَاءِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ فَجَحَدَهُ فَشَهِدَ لَهُ خُزَيْمَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى الشَّهَادَةِ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ مَعَهُ حَاضِرًا؟» قَالَ صَدَّقْتُكَ لَمَّا جِئْتَ بِهِ وَعَلِمْتُ أَنَّكَ لَا تَقُولُ إِلَّا حَقًّا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَهِدَ لَهُ خُزَيْمَةُ أَوْ شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِ فَحَسْبُهُ»
[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Any servant who commits a prohibited act and then receives his prescribed punishment, that sin is expiated from him."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ أَصَابَ شَيْئًا مِمَّا نَهَى الله عَنْهُ ثُمَّ أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ حَدُّهُ كَفَّرَ عَنْهُ ذَلِكَ الذَّنْبَ»
8.2.5 Subsection
٨۔٢۔٥ عُمَارَةُ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah said, "Whoever commits a sin and the prescribed punishment for that sin is carried out on him, then it serves as expiation for that sin."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ «مَنْ أَصَابَ ذَنْبًا أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ حَدُّ ذَلِكَ الذَّنْبِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَتُهُ»
That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah is not too shy to tell the truth,” three times. “Do not have intercourse with women in their buttocks.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1924)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اسْتَحْيُوا إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ»
That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah is not too shy to tell the truth,” three times. “Do not have intercourse with women in their buttocks.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1924)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ»
That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah is not too shy to tell the truth,” three times. “Do not have intercourse with women in their buttocks.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1924)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ»
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Indeed, Allah does not feel shy of the truth. It is not permissible for anyone to approach women from behind.'"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا يَحِلُّ لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ»
That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah is not too shy to tell the truth,” three times. “Do not have intercourse with women in their buttocks.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1924)
أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ»
That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah is not too shy to tell the truth,” three times. “Do not have intercourse with women in their buttocks.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1924)
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ»
That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah is not too shy to tell the truth,” three times. “Do not have intercourse with women in their buttocks.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1924)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ»
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Indeed, Allah is not shy of (stating) the truth: Do not enter upon women in their private quarters."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ»
[Machine] I heard the Prophet of Allah ﷺ saying, "Do not have sex with women when they are on their periods."
سَمِعَ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ»
[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Allah is not shy of the truth. Do not approach women in their menstruation."
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَسْتَحْيِي اللهُ مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنِّ»
8.2.11 Subsection
٨۔٢۔١١ أَبُو غَطَفَانَ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ الْمُرِّيُّ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ
The Prophet ﷺ said: He who eats from this plant should not come near the mosques. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3825)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَكَلَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْبَقْلَةِ فَلَا يَقْرَبَنَّ مَسْجِدِنَا»
"The Messenger of Allah set a time limit for the traveler of three days, and if the questioner had persisted in asking, he would have made it five (days)." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 553)
«جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ لِلْمُسَافِرِ وَيَوْمًا لِلْمُقِيمِ» وَأَيْمُ اللهِ لَوْ مَضَى السَّائِلُ فِي مَسْأَلَتِهِ لَجَعَلَهَا خَمْسًا
[Machine] We asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about wiping over the two socks. He said, "For the traveler, three days and nights, and for the resident, one day and night." And if the questioner had persisted in his questioning, he would have added more.
سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ؟ فَقَالَ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ» وَلَوْ مَضَى السَّائِلُ فِي مَسْأَلَتِهِ لَزَادَهُ
[Machine] Narrated by Khuzaymah ibn Thabit, an Arab, he asked the Prophet ﷺ about wiping over the socks. The Prophet ﷺ said, "For the traveler, three days and their nights, and for the resident, one day and its night." Even if we increase it, it would still be five days.
عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَعْرَابِيًّا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ؟ فَقَالَ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ» وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْنَاهُ لَجَعَلَهَا خَمْسًا
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Wiping over the two socks is permitted for a traveler for three days and for a resident for one day and one night."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمَسْحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ»
I asked ʿAʿishah ؓ about wiping over the khuff (leather slippers) and she said: Ask ʿAli ؓ . I asked him and he said: Three days and nights - i.e., for the traveller - and one day and night for one who is not travelling (Using translation from Aḥmad 780)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has granted us permission to wipe over our socks for three days and nights for travelers and for residents, one day and night. And if we had asked him for more, he would have granted us more.
رَخَّصَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ لِلْمُسَافِرِينَ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ» وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْنَاهُ لَزَادَنَا
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Wipe over the socks for three days." Even if we added to it, it would only increase.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «امْسَحُوا عَلَى الْخِفَافِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ» وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْنَاهُ لَزَادَنَا
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ specified that the traveler should wipe (his feet) three times, and for the resident, one day and one night. And if we add to it, we would increase." Abu Al-Qasim said, "Abu Al-Ahwas fell from the chain of narrators, 'Amr ibn Maymun.'"
«وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِلْمُسَافِرِ أَنْ يَمْسَحَ ثَلَاثًا وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً» وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْنَاهُ لَزَادَنَا قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ «أَسْقَطَ أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ مِنَ الْإِسْنَادِ عَمْرَو بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ»
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ directed us to wipe three times; and if we had asked for more, he would have granted us more."
«جَعَلَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَمْسَحَ ثَلَاثًا» وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْنَاهُ لَزَادَنَا
[Machine] An Arab came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him about ablution. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Three for the traveler and one for the resident." If the Arab had insisted, the Prophet ﷺ would have allowed him to wipe over his socks.
جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ؟ فَقَالَ «ثَلَاثًا لِلْمُسَافِرِ وَيَوْمٌ لِلْحَاضِرِ» وَلَوِ اسْتَزَادَهُ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ لَزَادَهُ يَعْنِي الْمَسْحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The traveler wipes (performs Tayammum) for three days.' Shu'bah said, 'I think he also said, 'and their nights.'"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يَمْسَحُ الْمُسَافِرُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ» قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ «وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ»
The Prophet said: "Three days." I think he said, "And three nights during which the traveler may wipe over his leather socks." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 554)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ قَالَ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ»
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ he said, "For wiping over the two socks, three days and nights are allowed for the traveler, and for the resident, one day and one night."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «يَمْسَحُ الْمُسَافِرُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ وَالْمُقِيمُ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً»
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ regarding wiping over the two khuffs: "For the traveler, it is for three days and their nights, and for the resident, it is for one day and one night."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ»
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ allowed three days and nights for the traveller and one day and night for one who is not travelling (i.e., with regard to wiping over the khuffain or leather slippers) (Using translation from Aḥmad 1126)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ»
[Machine] About the Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , regarding wiping over the socks: "For the traveler, (they can wipe) for three days and nights, and for the resident, (they can wipe) for one day and one night."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ»
The Prophet said: "Three days." I think he said, "And three nights during which the traveler may wipe over his leather socks." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 554)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about wiping (during ablution): "For the traveler, three days and for the resident, one day."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي الْمَسْحِ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَيَوْمٌ لِلْمُقِيمِ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ»
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to wipe over the socks for the resident (staying in one place) for a day and a night and for the traveler, three times."
«أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْمَسْحِ لِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً وَلِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثًا»
