27. Chapter of Hā (Male)
[Machine] Hisham, when she came to me, I raised her up, recited her as such, and said, "I do not understand her." It occurred to me that it was revealed to us, and we did not say it. So I sat on my camel, then I caught up with the city. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was waiting to be given permission to migrate, and his companions from the Migrants had already arrived. Abu Bakr also stayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , waiting to be given permission to go with him. Abu Bakr had asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for permission to migrate, and he said, "Do not hasten, perhaps Allah will make you a companion." Abu Bakr hoped that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ meant himself. Abu Bakr had already prepared two riding animals for that purpose in his house.
[Machine] He came with a delegation to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from his people, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called him Abu al-Hakam. The man said: "O Messenger of Allah, I used to issue judgments among my people in matters that pleased some and displeased others, so I was called Abu al-Hakam. I do not have any children, so I am Abu al-Hakam." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do you have any children?" He said: "Yes." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked: "What is the name of your oldest son?" He said: "Shurayh." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Then you are Abu Shurayh."
[Machine] I went to the Prophet ﷺ and saw them calling me by the name of my father Al-Hakam. So he said, "Indeed, Allah is the Judge, so why are you called by the name of your father Al-Hakam?" I said, "If there is any dispute among my people and they come to me to resolve it, I give a judgment that they accept." He said, "And do you have any children?" I said, "Yes." He said, "What is the name of your eldest son?" I said, "Shurayh." He said, "Then you are Abu Shurayh (the father of Shurayh)."
[Machine] He (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) came to his people and heard them calling Abu Al-Hakam happily. So, he called Abu Al-Hakam and said, "Indeed, Allah is Al-Hakam (the Judge), so why do they call you Abu Al-Hakam (the father of the Judge)?" He said, "No, but when my people differ in something, they come to me, and I judge between them, and both groups are pleased." He (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) said, "How good is this."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, tell me something that will guarantee me Paradise." He replied, "It will guarantee you Paradise to feed the hungry and to spread peace."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, direct me to a deed." He replied, "Feed [the needy] and spread peace [among people]."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, guide me to an action that will bring me into Paradise." He said, "Indeed, from the causes of forgiveness are giving salutations (greetings) and speaking well."
