19.3.80 Subsection
١٩۔٣۔٨٠ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ أَبِي بَزَّةَ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ brought forward the weak members of his family during a gathering at night.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «قَدَّمَ ضَعَفَةَ أَهْلِهِ مِنْ جَمْعٍ بِلَيْلٍ»
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ only did this to show the polytheists his power, so whoever wanted to do it did, and whoever wanted to leave it did." It means "the sand".
«إِنَّمَا فَعَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِيُرِيَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قُوَّتَهُ فَمَنْ شَاءَ فَعَلَهُ وَمَنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَهُ» يَعْنِي الرَّمَلَ
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet ﷺ recited Talbiyah until he stoned ‘Aqabah Pillar. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3039)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «لَبَّى حَتَّى رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ»
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, he said: "I am the leader of a house in the gardens of Paradise, and a house at its highest point, and a house at its lowest point, for whoever abandons argumentation even though he is in the right, and abandons lying even in jest, and improves his character for the people."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَنَا الزَّعِيمُ بِبَيْتٍ فِي رباضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَبِبَيْتٍ فِي أَعْلَاهَا وَبِبَيْتٍ فِي أَسْفَلِهَا لِمَنْ تَرَكَ الْجَدَلَ وَهُوَ مُحِقٌ وَتَرَكَ الْكَذِبَ وَهُوَ لاعبٌ وَحَسَّنَ خُلُقَهُ لِلنَّاسِ»
when I was spending a night in the house of my maternal aunt Maimunah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up at night, opened the mouth of the water skin and performed ablution. He then closed the mouth of the water-skin and stood for prayer. Then I got up and performed ablution as he did ; then I came and stood on his left side. He took my hand, turned me round behind his back and set me on his right side; and I prayed along with him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 610)
بِتُّ فِي بَيْتِ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ «فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَأَطْلَقَ الْقِرْبَةَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَقُمْتُ فَتَوَضَّأْتُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَنِي بِيَمِينِهِ فَأَدَارَنِي مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ»
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from Arafat and his camel was led by Usama bin Zaid. The camel started trotting while he was raising his hands up to the level of his head. Then, he proceeded in this manner to a gathering place called Al-Jam' and the camel was brought to him. He continued to perform the rituals of the Hajj until he threw the pebbles at the Jamarat."
«أَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ وَرِدْفُهُ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فَجَالَتْ بِهِ النَّاقَةُ وَهُوَ رَافِعٌ يَدَيْهِ لَا يُجَاوِزَانِ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ سَارَ عَلَى هَيْئَتِهِ إِلَى جَمْعٍ وَرِدْفُهُ الْفَضْلُ فَمَا زَالَ يُلَبِّي حَتَّى رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ»
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ performed only one Tawaf for both his Hajj and Umrah."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «طَافَ لِحَجَّتِهِ وَعُمْرَتِهِ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا»
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, "He used to have optimism and not look for bad omens, and he used to love beautiful names."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَفَاءَلُ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُ وَكَانَ يُحِبُّ الِاسْمَ الْحَسَنَ»
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ, that he used to be optimistic and not superstitious, and he used to love beautiful names.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَفَاءَلُ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُ وَكَانَ يُحِبُّ الِاسْمَ الْحَسَنَ»
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , "He used to be optimistic and did not believe in omens, and he used to love good names."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَفَاءَلُ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُ وَكَانَ يُحِبُّ الِاسْمَ الْحَسَنَ»
[Machine] "That you do not leave on the day of Eid until you give out the Zakat (charity) and feed something before leaving."
أَنْ لَا تَخْرُجَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ حَتَّى تُخْرِجَ الصَّدَقَةَ وَتُطْعِمَ شَيْئًا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ»
Ibn ‘Abbas said The Prophet ﷺ married Maimunah while he was in the sacred state(wearing ihram). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1844)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no marriage without a guardian and the ruler is the guardian for the one who has no guardian."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا نِكَاحَ إِلَّا بِوَلِيٍّ وَالسُّلْطَانُ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لَا وَلِيَّ لَهُ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Performing 'Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to performing Hajj." Abu Muawiyah added something in his narration with me.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً» زَادَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ مَعِي
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Who among you started the day fasting?" Abu Bakr replied, "I did." He then asked, "Who among you visited a sick person?" Abu Bakr replied, "I did." He then asked, "Who among you attended a funeral?" Abu Bakr replied, "I did." Finally, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever does all of these in one day will enter paradise."
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَنْ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا؟» قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا قَالَ «مَنْ عَادَ مَرِيضًا؟» قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا قَالَ «مَنْ شَيَّعَ جَنَازَةً؟» قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا قَالَ «مَنْ جَمَعَهُنَّ فِي يَوْمٍ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the house, then he raised his voice in supplication and prayer, and then he left and prayed behind the standing position.
«دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْبَيْتَ فَكَبَّرَ فِي نَوَاحِيهِ وَدَعَا ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wants to give his brother his land, let him grant it to him or let him cultivate it for him, and do not give it to him by a third or a quarter."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُعْطِيَ أَخَاهُ أَرْضَهُ فَلْيَمْنَحْهَا إِيَّاهُ أَوْ لِيُزْرِعْهَا إِيَّاهُ وَلَا يُعْطِيهِ بِالثُّلُثِ وَالرُّبُعِ»
[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ married Maymuna while he was in the state of ihram.
«تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ»
[Machine] A man complained to the Prophet ﷺ about being single, so he said, "Shouldn't I marry?" The Prophet replied, "No, he is not one of us who gets married or seeks marriage. However, fast and keep your body hair well-groomed."
شَكا رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْعُزوبةَ فَقَالَ أَلَا أَخْتَصِي؟ فَقَالَ «لَا لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ خَصَى أَوِ اخْتَصَى وَلَكِنْ صُمْ وَوَفِّرْ شَعَرَ جَسَدِكَ»
[Machine] "Perhaps I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying while donkeys were passing in front of him."
رُبَّمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «يُصَلِّي وَالْحُمُرُ تَعْتَرِكُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ»
[Machine] About the left side of the Prophet ﷺ , "He took my hand and made me stand to his right and wiped over my head."
عَنْ يَسَارِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِي»
[Machine] "That they spend the nights in Makkah in Mina, meaning the families of Shaybah and the family of Abbas."
أَنْ يَبِيتُوا بِمَكَّةَ لَيَالِي بِمِنًى» يَعْنِي آلَ شَيْبَةَ وَآلَ الْعَبَّاسِ
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , was brought milk on the day of Arafah, so he drank from it and gave it to the one on his right."
«أُتِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِلَبَنٍ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَشَرِبَهُ وَسَقَى الَّذِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the woman who wails and the woman who listens, and he said, "Women do not have a share in funerals."
لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ النَّائِحَةَ وَالْمُسْتَمِعَةَ وَقَالَ «لَيْسَ لِلنِّسَاءِ فِي الْجَنَازَةِ نَصِيبٌ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever is asked about knowledge and conceals it, on the Day of Resurrection, he will come with a bridle of fire placed on his mouth."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ سُئِلَ عَنْ عَلِمٍ فَكَتَمَهُ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلْجَمًا بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ»
[Machine] "The enjoyment in Hajj is the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."
«الْمُتْعَةُ فِي الْحَجِّ سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The hatred towards the Banu Hashim and the Ansar is disbelief, and the hatred towards the Arabs is hypocrisy."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «بُغْضُ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَالْأَنْصَارِ كُفْرٌ وَبُغْضُ الْعَرَبِ نِفَاقٌ»
[Machine] Ibn Abbas said, "We are the people below the people."
ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ «نَحْنُ النَّاسُ دُونَ النَّاسِ»
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The Black Stone is from the stones of Paradise, and what is on the Earth from Paradise is other than it, and it was white like snow, and if it were not for the touch of ignorance filth that touched it, it would not be touched except by pure ones."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْحَجَرُ الْأَسْوَدُ مِنْ حِجَارَةِ الْجَنَّةِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ غَيْرُهُ وَكَانَ أَبْيَضَ كالمَهَا وَلَوْلَا مَا مَسَّهُ مِنْ رِجْسِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ مَا مَسَّهُ ذُو عَاهَةٍ إِلَّا بَرِئَ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The game in the sanctuary should not be hunted, its thorny bushes should not be cut, and its trees should not be uprooted. No one should have sexual intercourse with its wild animals. Its lost property should be returned to its owner, except for the music reciter."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يُعْضَدُ شَوْكُ الْحَرَمِ وَلَا يُقْتَلُ صَيْدُهُ وَلَا يُخْتَلَى خَلَاهُ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لُقَطَتُهُ أَلَا لِمُنْشِدٍ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ invoked blessings upon a group of people and supplicated for another group of people during the Fajr prayer.
«قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ دَعَا عَلَى قَوْمٍ وَدَعَا لِقَوْمٍ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever gives a gift, he has the most right to it as long as he does not take it back. But if he takes it back, then he is like someone who vomits and then eats his vomit."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ وَهَبَ هِبَةً فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِبَتِهِ مَا لَمْ يُثَبْ مِنْهَا فَإِنْ رَجَعَ فِي هِبَتِهِ فَهُوَ كَالَّذِي يَقِيءُ وَيَأْكُلُ قَيْئَهُ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no superstition in Islam."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا جَلَبَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued to wipe over his socks until Allah took him.
مَا زَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ»
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed Itikaf while in a state of ihram (sacred state of pilgrimage) and he fainted, so he prohibited people from observing Itikaf during fasting due to its difficulty."
«احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ مُحْرِمٌ فَغُشِي عَلَيْهِ فَنَهَى النَّاسَ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَنْ يَحْتَجِمَ الصَّائِمُ كَرَاهِيَةَ الضَّعْفِ»
[Machine] Ibn Abbas asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about semen that gets on clothing. He said, "It is similar to saliva or mucus. Clean it off with a cloth or with water."
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَنِيِّ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ قَالَ «إِنَّمَا هُوَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْبُزَاقِ أَوِ الْمُخَاطِ أَمِطْهُ عَنْهُ بِخِرْقَةٍ أَوْ بِإِذْخِرٍ»
[Machine] Umm Sulaim came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Talha and his son performed Hajj, leaving me behind." He replied, "O Umm Sulaim, performing Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to performing Hajj."
جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ وَابْنَهُ حَجَّا عَلَى ناضحِهما وَتَرَكَانِي فَقَالَ «يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ إِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ تُجْزِئُ مِنْ حَجَّةٍ»
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, my father is old and unable to perform Hajj. Can I perform Hajj on his behalf?" The Prophet replied, "Do you think if your father had a debt, you would pay it off?" The man replied, "Yes." The Prophet then said, "Then perform Hajj on his behalf."
أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ لَمْ يَحُجَّ أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ «أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أَبِيكَ دَيْنٌ كُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَحُجَّ عَنْهُ»
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ performed Tawaf during Umrah until he reached the Black Stone, and he also performed Tawaf during Hajj until he threw the Jamrat al-Aqaba on the Day of Sacrifice.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «لَبَّى فِي الْعُمْرَةِ حَتَّى اسْتَلَمَ الْحَجَرَ وَلَبَّى فِي الْحَجِّ حَتَّى رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ left Medina for Makkah when he conquered it, and this was in the month of Ramadan while he was fasting. He continued to fast until he reached Qudayd and was informed that the people were suffering from thirst and exhaustion. So he called for water, drank from it, and broke his fast. Whoever wanted to fast could do so, and whoever wanted to break their fast could do so.
«خَرَجَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ حِينَ افْتَتَحَهَا وَذَلِكَ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَصَامَ حَتَّى أَتَى قُدَيْدًا فَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ أَصَابَهُمْ عَطَشٌ وَجَهْدٌ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَشَرِبَ وَأَفْطَرَ فَمَنْ شَاءَ صَامَ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَفْطَرَ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to combine between the prayers while traveling, combining the noon and afternoon prayers and the evening and night prayers.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ فِي السَّفَرِ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "For the boy, two sheep are to be slaughtered as 'Aqiqah, and for the girl, one sheep is to be slaughtered as 'Aqiqah."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ «عَنِ الْغُلَامِ عقيقتانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ عَقِيقَةٌ»
[Machine] He is Muhammad ﷺ who approached and came closer to his Lord.
«هُوَ مُحَمَّدٌ ﷺ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّى إِلَى رَبِّهِ ﷻ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sacrifice two salted rams, placing his foot on their sides when he wanted to slaughter them, and he would say, "In the name of Allah, from you and to you, O Allah, accept it from Muhammad."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ يَضَعُ رِجْلَهُ عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَذْبَحَ وَيَقُولُ «بِسْمِ اللهِ مِنْكَ وَلَكَ اللهُمَّ تَقَبَّلَ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever looks down upon a person in distress regarding his financial situation, Allah will look down upon him for his sin and his repentance."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَنْظَرَ مُعْسِرًا إِلَى مَيْسَرَتِهِ أَنْظَرَهُ اللهُ بِذَنْبِهِ إِلَى تَوْبَتِهِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Providing food during a wedding for one day is a recommended act, providing food for two days is a virtue, and providing food for three days is to show off and seek reputation."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ طَعَامٌ فِي الْعُرْسِ يَوْمٌ سُنَّةٌ وَطَعَامُ يَوْمَيْنِ فَضْلٌ وَطَعَامُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ رِيَاءٌ وَسُمْعَةٌ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hardships befall upon the best of my ummah (nation/people)."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَعْتَري الْحِدَّةُ خِيَارَ أُمَّتِي»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ held gold and silk in his hand, moving them and saying, "This is forbidden for the males of my Ummah."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَبَضَ عَلَى الذَّهَبِ وَالْحَرِيرِ وَهُوَ يُحَرِّكُهُ وَيَقُولُ «هَذَا يَحْرُمُ عَلَى الذُّكُورِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي»
[Machine] I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was praying, wearing his lower garment with the buttons undone.
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ «يُصَلِّي مُحْتَبِيًا مُحَلِّلَ الْأَزْرَارِ»
لَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَكَّةَ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ وَرَسُولَهُ حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْخَمْرَ وَثَمَنَهَا وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَثَمَنَهَا وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْخَنَازِيرَ وَأَكْلَهَا وَثَمَنَهَا»
