[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ left Medina for Makkah when he conquered it, and this was in the month of Ramadan while he was fasting. He continued to fast until he reached Qudayd and was informed that the people were suffering from thirst and exhaustion. So he called for water, drank from it, and broke his fast. Whoever wanted to fast could do so, and whoever wanted to break their fast could do so.
