The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Ansar are my near companions to whom I confided my private secrets, People will go on increasing but the Ansar will go on decreasing; so accept the good of the good-doers amongst them and excuse the wrong-doers amongst them. "

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الأَنْصَارُ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَالنَّاسُ سَيَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّونَ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ

The Ansar are my family and my trusted friends. and the people would increase in number whereas they (the Ansar) would become less and less, so appreciate the deeds of those from amongst them who do good and overlook their failings.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الأَنْصَارَ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَإِنَّ النَّاسَ سَيَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّونَ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَاعْفُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Ansar are my close ones and my elite. Indeed the people shall increase and they shall dwindle, so accept from those who do good among them, and overlook those who do bad among them."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الأَنْصَارُ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَإِنَّ النَّاسَ سَيَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّونَ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out wearing his clothes, then he said: "O people, the population is increasing while the Ansar are decreasing. Whoever is entrusted with authority among you, and can be helpful to someone, should accept from their benevolence and overlook their mistakes."

خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُتَقَنِّعًا بِثَوْبِهِ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَكْثُرُونَ وَإِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ يَقِلُّونَ فَمَنْ وَلِيَ مِنْكُمِ أَمْرًا يَنْفَعُ فِيهِ أَحَدًا فَلْيَقْبَلْ مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَيَتَجَاوَزْ عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, the Ansar are my allies and supporters, whom I have sought refuge with. So accept goodness from their virtuous, and overlook the faults of their wrongdoers. For they have fulfilled what was upon them and that which remains is for them."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ عَيْبَتِي الَّتِي أَوَيْتُ إِلَيْهَا فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَاعْفُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ أَدَّوْا الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي لَهُمْ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ came out and was received by the Ansar among themselves. He said, "By the one in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, I love you. Indeed, the Ansar have fulfilled what was upon them and what remains is upon you. So, be good to those who are good among them and overlook those who do wrong."

خَرَجَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَلَقَّتْهُ الْأَنْصَارُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكُمْ إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَدْ قَضَوْا مَا عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَى مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out on one day with his head wrapped. The Ansar and their women and children met him. When he saw the faces of the Ansar, he said, 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, I truly love you.' He also said, 'Verily, the Ansar have fulfilled what was upon them, and there is remaining what is upon you. So, treat their good ones well and overlook their wrongdoers.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَهُوَ مَعْصُوبُ الرَّأْسِ قَالَ فَتَلَقَّاهُ الْأَنْصَارُ وَنِسَاؤُهُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُهُمْ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِوُجُوهِ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكُمْ وَقَالَ إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَدْ قَضَوْا مَا عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ مَا عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَى مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ once went out with his head covered, and he was reached by the children of the Ansar and their servants. Their faces were not resembling those of the Ansar on that day. He said, 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, I love you.' He repeated this statement two or three times, then he said, 'Indeed, the Ansar have fulfilled their duty, and what remains is on you. Therefore, be good to those who are good among them and overlook the wrong of those who do wrong among them.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَرَجَ يَوْمًا عَاصِبًا رَأْسَهُ فَتَلَقَّاهُ ذَرَارِيُّ الْأَنْصَارِ وَخَدَمُهُمْ مَا هُمْ بِوجُوهِ الْأَنْصَارِ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكُمْ» مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَدْ قَضَوَا الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَى مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ went out one day with a bandage on his head, and the Ansar received him with their faces and their young children. He said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, I love you. Indeed, the Ansar have fulfilled their duty, and what remains is upon you. So, be good to those who have been good to you, and overlook those who have wronged you."

خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَقَدْ عَصَبَ رَأْسَهُ فَتَلَقَّتْهُ الْأَنْصَارُ بِوُجُوهِهِمْ وَفِتْيَانِهِمْ فَقَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكُمْ إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَدْ قَضَوَا الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَى مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الأَنْصَارُ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي فَأَوْصَى بِالأَنْصَارِ خَيْرًا أَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ ويتجاوز عن مسيئهم فَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ قَضَوُا الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي لهم

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الأَنْصَارُ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَإن النَّاسَ سَيَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّونَ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَاعْفُوا عَنْ مسيئهم

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about the Ansar: "Accept the good from them and overlook their mistakes."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ «اقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ كَرْشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَإِنَّ النَّاسَ سَيَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّونَ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ went out one day with a headache, and he was welcomed by the Ansar and their servants. They were not in a good mood. The Prophet said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, I love you two or three times." Then he said, "The Ansar have fulfilled their duty, and what remains is upon you. So be good to those who are good among them, and overlook the harm caused by those who harm."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَرَجَ يَوْمًا عَاصِبًا رَأْسَهُ فَتَلَقَّاهُ ذَرَارِيُّ الْأَنْصَارِ وَخَدَمُهُمْ مَا هُمْ بِوُجُوهِ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا» ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَدْ قَضَوَا الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَى مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ»

Abu Bakr and Al-ʿAbbas passed by one of the gatherings of the Ansar who were weeping then. He (i.e. Abu Bakr or Al-ʿAbbas) asked, "Why are you weeping?" They replied, "We are weeping because we remember the gathering of the Prophet ﷺ with us." So Abu Bakr went to the Prophet ﷺ and told him of that. The Prophet ﷺ came out, tying his head with a piece of the hem of a sheet. He ascended the pulpit which he never ascended after that day. He glorified and praised Allah and then said, "I request you to take care of the Ansar as they are my near companions to whom I confided my private secrets. They have fulfilled their obligations and rights which were enjoined on them but there remains what is for them. So, accept the good of the good-doers amongst them and excuse the wrongdoers amongst them." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3799)

«مَا يُبْكِيكُمْ» قَالُوا ذَكَرْنَا مَجْلِسَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَّا فَدَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ وَلَمْ يَصْعَدْهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أُوصِيكُمْ بِالْأَنْصَارِ فَإِنَّهُمْ كَرْشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَقَدْ قَضَوَا الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي لَهُمْ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ»

"احفظوا من مُحْسِنِ الأنصارِ، وتجاوزوا عن مُسيئهم ".

"أَقْبلُوا مِن مُحْسِنِهْم، وتَجاوَزُوا عن مُسِئيِهمْ - يعني: الأنصارَ".

"إِنَّ عَيْبَتى الَّتِى آوِى إِليها أَهْلُ بَيْتى، وإِنَّ الأنصارَ كرشِى، فاعْفُوا عن مُسِيئهم وَاقْبَلوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ".

"إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نبىٍّ تَركةً، أوْ ضَيْعَةً، وَإِنَّ الأنْصارَ تَرِكتِى، وَضَيْعَتِى، وإِنَّ النَّاسَ يكْثرُونَ، ويقِلُّونَ، فاقْبَلُوا من مُحْسِنِهم، واعْفوا عن مسيئهم".

"أَهْلُ بَيْتِى والأَنْصار كَرشى وعَيْبَتى فاقْبَلُوا من مُحْسِنِهم وَتَجَاوَزُوا عن مسيئهم" .

"أُوصِيكُمْ بالأَنْصَار خَيْرًا، فَإِنَّهُمْ كَرشِى وَعَيْبتى، وَقَدْ قَضَوْا الَّذِى عَلَيْهم، وَبَقى الَّذى لهُم، فَاقْبلُوا من مُحْسِنِهم، وتجاوزوا عن مُسِيئِهم ".

"أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ احْفَظُونى فِي هَذَا الْحَيِّ مِنَ الأَنْصَار، فَإِنَّهُمْ كَرشِى الَّذِي آكُلُ فِيهَا وَعَيبَتِى ، اقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهمْ، وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهمْ".

"الأَنْصَارُ كَرشِى وعَيبَتى، وإن الناسَ سيكثرون وهم يقلون، فاقْبلَواُ مِنْ مُحسْنِهم وتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسيئهم" .

"والذِي نَفْسي بِيدِهِ إِنِّي لأُحِبُّكم، إِنَّ الأنصارَ قَدْ قَضَوْا مَا عليهم وبَقِيَ مَا عَلَيكُم، فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلى مُخسِنهم، وتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيِئهم".

"يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ: إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَكْثُروُنَ، وَإنَّ الأنْصَارَ يَقلُّون، فَمْنَ وَلِىَ مِنْكُم أمْرًا يَنْفَعُ فِيهِ أَحَدًا فَلْيَقبَلْ مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ، وَيَتَجاوَزْ عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ".

"يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ! إِنَّ الأنْصَارَ عَيْبَتى وَنعْلِى وَكرشِى الَّتِى آكُلُ فِيهَا، فَاحْفَظُونِى فِيهِمْ، اقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسنِهِمْ، وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ".

"عَنْ أنَسٍ قَالَ: خَرجَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ وَهُوَ عَاصِبٌ رَأسَهُ فَتَلَقَّتْهُ الأنْصَارُ بِأوْلاَدِهِمْ وَخَدَمِهِمْ، فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِى نَفْسُ مُحَمَدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنِّى لأحِبكُمْ، إنَّ

الأنْصَارَ قَدْ قَضَوْا مَا عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِىَ الَّذِى عَلَيْكُمْ، فَأحْسِنُوا إِلَى مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهمْ".
