She went to him to ask for a maid-servant, but she could not find him, and told ʿAisha of her need. When the Prophet ﷺ came, Aisha informed him of that. The Prophet ﷺ came to our house when we had gone to our beds. (On seeing the Prophet) we were going to get up, but he said, 'Keep at your places,' I felt the coolness of the Prophet's feet on my chest. Then he said, "Shall I tell you a thing which is better than what you asked me for? When you go to your beds, say: 'Allahu Akbar (i.e. Allah is Greater)' for 34 times, and 'Al hamdu Li llah (i.e. all the praises are for Allah)' for 33 times, and Subhan Allah (i.e. Glorified be Allah) for 33 times. This is better for you than what you have requested."

Fatimah complained to me about the flour, so I said, "Why don't you go to your father and ask him for a servant?" She went to the Prophet ﷺ to request a servant but did not find him. She returned to her place. When the Prophet ﷺ came, he was wearing a garment with a fringe at the bottom, and when we wore it lengthwise, our feet would extend beyond it, and when we wore it widthwise, our heads and feet would protrude.
The Prophet ﷺ asked Fatimah, "Did you come earlier with a need?" She replied, "No." I said, "Yes, she complained to me about the flour, and I suggested she ask her father for a servant." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Shall I guide you to something better for the two of you than having a servant? When you go to bed, say 'SubhanAllah' (Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, 'Alhamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah) thirty-three times, and 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) thirty-four times."
Fatimah complained to me about the marks on her hands from grinding flour. I suggested to her, "Why don't you go to your father and ask him for a servant?" She went to the Prophet ﷺ to request a servant but did not find him there. When he returned, she had already left. When she later informed him about it, he came to us, and we had already gone to bed. We had a thin curtain over us, and when we wore it long, our feet would protrude, but when we wore it sideways, our heads or feet would be exposed.
The Prophet ﷺ asked Fatimah, "Were you the one who came earlier with a need?" She replied, "Yes, I complained to you about the marks on my hands from grinding flour, and you suggested I ask for a servant." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Shall I guide you to something better than having a servant? When you go to bed, say subḥān Allāh (Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, al-ḥamdu lillāh (Praise be to Allah) thirty-three times, and Allāhu akbar (Allah is the Greatest) thirty-four times."
Fatima complained about the blisters on her hand because of using a mill-stone. She went to ask the Prophet for servant, but she did not find him (at home) and had to inform ʿAisha of her need. When he came, ʿAisha informed him about it. ʿAli added: The Prophet ﷺ came to us when we had gone to our beds. When I was going to get up, he said, "'Stay in your places," and sat between us, till I felt the coolness of the feet on my chest. The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Shall I not tell you of a thing which is better for you than a servant? When you (both) go to your beds, say 'Allahu Akbar' thirty-three times, and 'Subhan Allah' thirty-three times, 'Al hamdu 'illah' thirty-three times, for that is better for you than a servant." Ibn Seereen said, "Subhan Allah' (is to be said for) thirty-four times." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6318)
