" عن الحَسنِ: أَنَّ عُثمَان بنَ عَفانَ خَطَب النَّاسَ، فَحَمِدَ الله وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْه ثُمَّ قَال: أَيُّها النَّاسُ! اتَّقُوا الله، فإنَّ تَقْوَى الله غُنْم، وَإنَّ أكْيَسَ (الكَيْسِ) مَن دَان نَفْسه وعَمِلَ لِمَا بَعْد المَوتِ وَاكتَسَبَ مِن نُورِ الله نُورًا لِظُلمةِ القَبر، وَليَخْشَ عبدٌ أن يَحْشُرَه اللهُ أَعْمَى وَقَد كَان بَصِيرًا، وَقد يَكْفى الحَكيمَ جَوَامِعُ الكَلِم، والأصمُّ يُنَادَى مِنْ (مكانٍ) (*) بعيدٍ، واعْلَموا أنَّ مَن كَانَ الله مَعَه لَم يَخَفْ شَيْئًا، وَمَن كَانَ الله عَلَيه فَمَنْ يَرْجو بَعْدَه؟ ! ".

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The wise person is the one who restrains his desires and works for what comes after death, while the weak person is the one who follows his desires and relies on Allah's forgiveness."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The wise person is one who evaluates themselves and works for what comes after death, while the weak one is one who follows their desires and hopes for things from Allah." He also informed us of Damrah ibn Habib, who said the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The first thing to be lifted from this Ummah (nation) is trustworthiness and humility, to the point that you hardly see anyone who is humble."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْكَيِّسُ مَنْ دَانَ نَفْسَهُ وَعَمِلَ لِمَا بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ وَالْعَاجِزُ مَنْ أَتْبَعَ نَفْسَهُ هَوَاهَا وَتَمَنَّى عَلَى اللَّهِ ﷻ»
قالَ: وأنْبَأنا أيْضًا عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ أنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قالَ: «أوَّلُ شَيْءٍ يُرْفَعُ مِن هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ الأمانَةُ والخُشُوعُ حَتّى لا تَكادُ تَرى خاشِعًا»
