"Jibril came to me and said: 'O Muhammad! Tell your Companions to rise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ لِي يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ

“Jibril came to me and said: ‘O Muhammad! Tell your Companions to raise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah, for it is one of the symbols of Hajj.’”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Gabriel came to me and said, "Order your companions or those with you to raise their voices with the talbiyah or with the pronouncement of 'Al-Ihlaal'."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ أَوْ مَنْ مَعَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ أَوْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Gabriel commanded me to raise my voice during the call to the new moon (hilal) as it is a symbol of Hajj."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنِي جِبْرِيلُ بِرَفْعِ الصَّوْتِ فِي الْإِهْلَالِ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ

Khalid ibn as-Sa'ib al-Ansari on his father's authority reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Gabriel came to me and commanded me to order my Companions to raise their voices in talbiyah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1814)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ أَنْ آمُرَ أَصْحَابِي أَوْ مَنْ مَعِي أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ أَوْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ يُرِيدُ أَحَدَهُمَا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Gabriel came to me and said, 'Command your companions to raise their voices with Takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) at the beginning of the lunar crescent sighting.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَقَالَ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ

“Jibril came to me and said: ‘O Muhammad! Tell your Companions to raise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah, for it is one of the symbols of Hajj.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2923)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ شَعَائِرِ الْحَجِّ

Yahya related to me from Malik from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Hazm from Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Bakr ibn al-Harith ibn Hisham from Khallad ibn as-Sa'ib al-Ansari from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Jibril came to me and told me to tell my companions, or whoever was with me, to raise their voices when doing talbiya."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آمُرَ أَصْحَابِي أَوْ مَنْ مَعِي أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ أَوْ بِالإِهْلاَلِ يُرِيدُ أَحَدَهُمَا

“Jibra’il came to me and told me to command my Companions to raise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2922)

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آمُرَ أَصْحَابِي أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ»

“Jibril came to me and said: ‘O Muhammad! Tell your Companions to raise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah, for it is one of the symbols of Hajj.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2923)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ تَأْمُرَ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ

“Jibril came to me and said: ‘O Muhammad! Tell your Companions to raise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah, for it is one of the symbols of Hajj.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2923)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ لِي يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ

“Jibril came to me and said: ‘O Muhammad! Tell your Companions to raise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah, for it is one of the symbols of Hajj.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2923)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ

[AI] On the authority of Zaid bin Khalid al-Juhani, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , that the Messenger of Allah said: "Gabriel came to me and said, 'Raise the crescent, for it is a symbol of Hajj.'"

عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ ارْفَعْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Gabriel came to me and said, 'Allah commands you to instruct your companions to raise their voices with the Talbiyah, as it is a slogan of Hajj."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ تَأْمُرَ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Jibril came to me and said, 'Command your companions to recite the Talbiyah aloud, as it is one of the symbols of Hajj.' Zaid ibn Khalid was not mentioned."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَجْهَرُوا بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ زَيْدَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said: Gabriel ﷺ came to me and said: Command your companions to elevate their voices during the call to prayer or during saying 'Takbeer'."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ ﷺ فَقَالَ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ أَوْ قَالَ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ

[AI] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Gabriel came to me and said, "Command your companions to raise their voices in saying the talbiyah or the takbir. I do not know which of us should say the talbiyah and which of us should say the takbir, me or Abd al-Malik."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ ﷺ فَقَالَ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ أَوِ الْإِهْلَالِ لَا أَدْرِي أَيُّنَا وَهَلَّ أَنَا أَوْ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ فِي الْإِهْلَالِ وَالتَّلْبِيَةِ

"Jibril came to me and said: 'O Muhammad! Tell your Companions to rise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2753)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ لِي يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Gabriel instructed me to raise my voice with the call to prayer, for it is one of the symbols of Hajj."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنِي جَبْرَائِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ بِرَفْعِ الصَّوْتِ بِالْإِهْلَالِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ الْحَجِّ

Khalid ibn as-Sa'ib al-Ansari on his father's authority reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Gabriel came to me and commanded me to order my Companions to raise their voices in talbiyah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1814)

"أتانى جبريلُ فأمرنى أن آمر أصحابى ومن معى أن يرفعوا أصواتَهم بالتَّلبيةِ" .

"أتانى جبريلُ فقال لى: إن الله يأمرك أن تأمر أصحابكَ أن يرفعوا أصواتهم بالتّلبيةِ، فإنَّها من شعائر الحجِّ".

"أتانى جبريلُ فقال: إنَّ الله يأمُرُك أن تأَمر أصحابك أن يرفعوا أصواتهم بالتلبية ".

"أَمَرَنى جبريلُ برفع الصوتِ في الإِهلالِ فَإِنَّه من شِعَارِ الحَجِّ".
