Hunaydah ibn Khalid narrated from his wife on the authority of one of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah, Ashura' and three days of every month, that is, the first Monday (of the month) and Thursday.

عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ تِسْعَ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَيَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ أَوَّلَ اثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ وَالْخَمِيسَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast three days every month.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ يَعْنِي مِنْ غُرَّةِ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ

The apostle of Allah ﷺ used to fast three days every month: Monday, Thursday and Monday in the next week.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الاِثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ وَالاِثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الأُخْرَى

Hunaydah al-Khuza'i reported on the authority of her mother who said: I entered upon Umm Salamah and asked her about fasting. She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command me to fast three days every month beginning with Monday or Thursday.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أَصُومَ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ أَوَّلُهَا الاِثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ

"The Messenger of Allah used to fast three days of every month: the Monday and Thursday of the first week and the Monday of the following week."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ الاِثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالاِثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُقْبِلَةِ

"The Messenger of Allah used to fast Thursday and Monday of each month, and Monday of the following week."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ وَيَوْمَ الاِثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ يَوْمَ الاِثْنَيْنِ

"The Messenger of Allah used to fast three days in the middle of every month, and he rarely did not fast on Friday."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ غُرَّةِ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَقَلَّمَا يُفْطِرُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ

"One of the wives of the Prophet said: "The Prophet used to fast on the day of 'Ashura, nine days of Dhul-Hijjah and three days each month: The first Monday of the month, and two Thursday."

حَدَّثَتْنِي بَعْضُ نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَتِسْعًا مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ وَثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ أَوَّلَ اثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ وَخَمِيسَيْنِ

"I heard Ibn 'Umar say" "The Prophet used to fast three days of each month.

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَصُومُ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ

"There are four things which the Prophet never gave up: Fasting 'Ashura', (fasting during) the ten days, (fasting) three days of each month, and praying two Rak'ahs before Al-Ghadah (Fajr)."

أَرْبَعٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَدَعُهُنَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صِيَامَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَالْعَشْرَ وَثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْغَدَاةِ

"The Messenger of Allah used to enjoin fasting three days: The first Thursday, and Monday and Monday."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُ بِصِيَامِ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ أَوَّلِ خَمِيسٍ وَالاِثْنَيْنِ وَالاِثْنَيْنِ

"The Messenger of Allah used to be keen to fast on Mondays and Thursday." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2360)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ

[AI] Narrated by Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet (PBUH): The Prophet (PBUH) used to fast three days every month, on Monday, Thursday, and the Monday of the second part of the month.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ وَيَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى

[AI] Narrated by Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet, may ﷺ , that the Prophet, may ﷺ , used to fast three days of every month, on Monday, Thursday, and Monday of the second week of each month.

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said, "The fasting is good. The fasting of three days each month is (equivalent to) continuous fasting."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «صِيَامٌ حَسَنٌ صِيَامُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ»

[AI] And he said, "Fasting for three days every month."

وَقَالَ «صَوْمُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ»

[AI] "On the authority of Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , that the Prophet ﷺ used to fast three days out of every month: Mondays, Thursdays, and the Mondays of the other week."

عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ وَالِاثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى

[AI] Four fasts that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ never used to leave were the fasting of Ashura, the fasting of the tenth of Muharram, and three days of fasting every month.

أَرْبَعٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَدَعُهُنَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صِيَامُ عَاشُورَاءَ وَالْعَشْرُ وَثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ «يَصُومُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِثْنَيْنَ وَخَمِيسَ»

[AI] "We have a messenger from Allah ﷺ who said, 'Fast three days of every month, from the beginning on Monday, Thursday, and the following Thursday.'"

لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صُمْنَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ الْإِثْنَيْنَ وَالْخَمِيسَ وَالْخَمِيسَ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ»

عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَصُومُ الْعَشْرَ وَثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَينِ»

"The Messenger of Allah used to enjoin fasting three days: The first Thursday, and Monday and Monday." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2419)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَأْمُرُ بِصِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ أَوَّلَ خَمِيسٍ وَالِاثْنَيْنِ وَالِاثْنَيْنِ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast the nine days of Dhu al-Hijjah, the day of Ashura, and three days of every month: the first Monday of the month, Thursday, meaning also another day. Abu Dawud also narrated it from Musaddad.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ تِسْعَ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ، وَيَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ، وَثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ: أَوَّلَ اثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ، وَالْخَمِيسَ، تَعْنِي: وَيَوْمًا آخَرَ. وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ عَنْ مُسَدَّدٍ.

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command me to fast three days from the month: Monday, Thursday, and Thursday.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ وَالْخَمِيسَ

"صُمْنَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّام من أَوله، أَو من الشهر: الاثنين والخميس، والخميس الَّذِي يَلِيهِ".

"صِيَامُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ".

"عَنِ ابنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ مِنْ غُرَّةِ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ".

"عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ يَأمُرنِي بِصِيَامِ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْر: أَوَّلُهَا الإثنان وَالْخَمِيس".
