[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, I find something in myself that I would rather be a pebble than speak it. So, in the hadith of Mansoor, he said "Allahu Akbar" and they all said "Alhamdulillah, who sent His command back to the whisperings."  

الكبرى للنسائي:١٠٤٣٥أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ وَالْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ

Satan has no other power over you than an ability to whisper

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah! One of us has thoughts of such nature that he would rather be reduced to charcoal than speak about them. He said: "Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great. Praise be to Allah Who has reduced the guile of the devil to evil prompting."

Ibn Qudamah said "reduced his matter" instead of "reduced his guile".

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ أَحَدَنَا يَجِدُ فِي نَفْسِهِ يُعَرِّضُ بِالشَّىْءِ لأَنْ يَكُونَ حُمَمَةً أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ۔ فَقَالَ: «اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي رَدَّ كَيْدَهُ إِلَى الْوَسْوَسَةِ۔»

So the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Praise be to Allah who has repelled his plotting to whisper."

[Machine] Narrated by Ibn Abbas, they said, "O Messenger of Allah! We find ourselves preoccupied with something, to the point that one of us prefers doing that over speaking." He responded, "One of you says 'Praise be to Allah, Who spared me from being test by only being afflicted mentally,' while the other says, 'Praise be to Allah, Who rejected His decree and entrusted it to Satan's whispers.'"

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. Praise be to Allah who has diverted His decree to whispering."

[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, I do speak to myself about a matter from the commands of the Lord, because I prefer to keep it to myself rather than speak it out loud." Shu'bah said, "One of them said, 'Praise be to Allah, Who only enabled you to experience whispers,' and the other said, 'Praise be to Allah, Who returned His command to whispers.'"

Praise be to Allah who repelled his scheme to whispering." Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said, "I do not know anyone who followed Ishaq (narrating) this narration, and the authentic (one) is what Abdul Rahman narrated."

He said, "One of them said, 'Praise be to Allah who has only given you the whispers!' and the other said, 'Praise be to Allah who has returned His command to the whispers!'"
