"'Abdullah said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to recite for him while he was on the Minbar. So I recited from Surat An-Nisa for him, until I reached: How then (will it be) when We bring from each nation a witness, and We bring you (Muhammad) as a witness against these people? (4:41) The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was beckoning me (to stop) with his hand, and I looked at him and his eyes were flowing with tears." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3024)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Read," so I started reciting to the women until I reached the saying of Allah ﷻ, "So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and we bring you, [O Muhammad], against these as a witness?" [Quran 4:41]. He began to cry and said, "Enough for us."

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Recite (of the Qur'an) for me," I said, "Shall I recite it to you although it had been revealed to you?" He said, "I like to hear (the Qur'an) from others." So I recited Surat-an- Nisa' till I reached: "How (will it be) then when We bring from each nation a witness, and We bring you (O Muhammad) as a witness against these people?"
I was in Hims when some of the people asked me to recite the Qur'an to them. So I recited Surah Yusuf to them. One of the persons among the people said: By Allah, this is not how it has been sent down. I said: Woe upon you! By Allah, I recited it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said to me: You have (recited) it well. I was talking with him (the man who objected to my recitation) that I sensed the smell of wine from him. So I said to him. Do you drink wine and belie the Book (of Allah)? You would not depart till I would whip you. So I lashed him according to the prescribed punishment (for the offence of drinking wine). (Using translation from Muslim 801a)

47.57 [Machine] The example of the believer who recites the Quran
"The Prophet [SAW] said: 'The parable of the believer who recites the Qur'an is that of a citron, the taste and smell of which are good. The parable of a believer who does not read the Qur'an is that of a date, the taste of which is good but it has no smell. The parable of a hypocrite who reads the Qur'an is that of basil, the smell of which is good but its taste is bitter. And the parable of a hypocrite who does not read the Qur'an is that of a colocynth (bitter-apple), the taste of which is bitter and it has no smell.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5038)
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The example of a Believer who recites the Qur'an, is that of a citron which smells good and tastes good; And the example of a Believer who does not recite the Qur'an, is that of a date which has no smell but tastes sweet; and the example of a hypocrite who recites the Qur'an, is that of an aromatic plant which smells good but tastes bitter; and the example of a hypocrite who does not recite the Qur'an, is that of a colocynth plant which has no smell and is bitter in taste." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5427)
47.58 [Machine] Who has seen by reading the Quran?
People dispersed from around Abu Huraira, and Natil, who was from the Syrians. said to him: O Shaikh, relate (to us) a tradition you have heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: Yes. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: The first of men (whose case) will be decided on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died as a martyr. He shall be brought (before the Judgment Seat). Allah will make him recount His blessings (i. e. the blessings which He had bestowed upon him) and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his life). (Then) will Allah say: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I fought for Thee until I died as a martyr. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You fought that you might be called a" brave warrior". And you were called so. (Then) orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell. Then will be brought forward a man who acquired knowledge and imparted it (to others) and recited the Qur'an. He will be brought And Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Then will Allah ask: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I acquired knowledge and disseminated it and recited the Qur'an seeking Thy pleasure. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You acquired knowledge so that you might be called" a scholar," and you recited the Qur'an so that it might be said:" He is a Qari" and such has been said. Then orders will be passed against him and he shall be dragged with his face downward and cast into the Fire. Then will be brought a man whom Allah had made abundantly rich and had granted every kind of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them and (admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Allah will (then) ask: What have you done (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I spent money in every cause in which Thou wished that it should be spent. Allah will say: You are lying. You did (so) that it might be said about (You):" He is a generous fellow" and so it was said. Then will Allah pass orders and he will be dragged with his face downward and thrown into Hell. (Using translation from Muslim 1905a)

Upon this Umar b. Khattab (Allah be pleased with him) said: Permit me to kill this hypocrite. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: May there be protection of Allah! People would say that I kill my companions. This man and his companions would recite the Qur'an but it would not go beyond their throat, and they swerve from it just as the arrow goes through the prey. (Using translation from Muslim 1063a)

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There will appear some people among you whose prayer will make you look down upon yours, and whose fasting will make you look down upon yours, but they will recite the Qur'an which will not exceed their throats (they will not act on it) and they will go out of Islam as an arrow goes out through the game whereupon the archer would examine the arrowhead but see nothing, and look at the unfeathered arrow but see nothing, and look at the arrow feathers but see nothing, and finally he suspects to find something in the lower part of the arrow." They will pass through the religion as an arrow passes through its target.'"

47.60 [Machine] The mention of the saying of the Prophet (PBUH) "Do not compete with each other in reciting the Quran
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the people while they were praying and their voices were raised with recitation. He said, "Verily, the one who is in prayer is having a confidential conversation with his Lord, so let each one of you see what he converses with his Lord in, and do not compete with one another in recitation of the Quran."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ retired to the mosque. He heard them (the people) reciting the Qur'an in a loud voice. He removed the curtain and said: Lo! every one of you is calling his Lord quietly. One should not trouble the other and one should not raise the voice in recitation or in prayer over the voice of the other. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1332)
47.61 [Machine] Dispute in the Quran
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Quran was revealed in seven dialects. Differences of opinion within the Quran constitute disbelief."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting something other than what was written in front of me. So, I held his hand and went to the Prophet ﷺ . I saw that the face of the Prophet ﷺ had changed, and he said, "You both are good, do not differ in it, for indeed those who came before you differed in it."
47.62 [Machine] The mention of differences
[Machine] "I migrated to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day, and I overheard two men disagreeing about a verse from the Book of Allah. The anger was visible on his face, so he said, 'Verily, those before you were destroyed because of their differences in the Book.'"
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Gather around the Quran as long as you are in agreement upon it. But if you differ in interpretation, then stand up (and refrain from discussion)." He mentioned this to us on another occasion, and he did not raise his hand (to signal the end of his statement).
Recite the Qur'an as long as your hearts agree to do so, and when you feel variance between them (between your hearts and tongues), then get up (and leave its recital for the time being). (Using translation from Muslim 2667a)
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Recite (and study) the Qur'an as long as you agree about its interpretation, but when you have any difference of opinion (as regards its interpretation and meaning) then you should stop reciting it (for the time being)' (Using translation from Bukhārī 5061)
[Machine] 'Umar said, "Read the Quran as long as you agree upon it, but when you differ, stand up."
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , Ahmed bin Khalil narrated to us, he said Khaled narrated to us, he said Suleiman narrated to me, he said Umara bin Ghaziyya Al-Ansari narrated, he said I heard Abdullah bin Ali bin Hussein narrating from his father, from his grandfather, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The stingy person is the one in whose presence I am mentioned, but he does not send salutations upon me."
“My grandfather, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, taught me some words to say in Qunut of Witr: Allahumma ‘afini fiman ‘afait, wa tawallani fiman tawallait, wahdini fiman hadait, wa qini sharra ma qadait, wa barik li fima a’tait. Subhanaka rabbana tabarakta wa ta’alait (O Allah, pardon me along with those whom You have pardoned, be an ally to me along with those whom You are an ally to, guide me along with those whom You have guided, protect me from the evil that You have decreed, and bless for me that which You have bestowed. For verily You decree and none can decree over You. He whom You support can never be humiliated. Glory is to You, our Lord, You are Blessed and Exalted).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1178)
