Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever does not recite Al-Fatiha in his prayer, his prayer is invalid."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ

He who does not recite Fatihat al-Kitab is not credited with having observed the prayer.

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He who does not recite Umm al-Qur'an is not credited with having observed the prayer.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْتَرِئْ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ

we were commanded to recite Fatihat al-kitab and whatever was convenient (from the Qur’an during the prayer).

أَنْ نَقْرَأَ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَمَا تَيَسَّرَ

the prayer is not valid I one does not recite fatihat al-kitab and something more, sufyan( the narrator) said: This applies to a man who prays alone.

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَصَاعِدًا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ لِمَنْ يُصَلِّي وَحْدَهُ

The Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no Salah for one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no Salah for one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab or more.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَصَاعِدًا

“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘Every prayer in which the Ummul-Kitab (the Mother of the Book) is not recited is deficient.’”

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ كُلُّ صَلاَةٍ لاَ يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ

“Every prayer in which Fatihatil-Kitab (the Opening of the Book) is not recited, it is deficient, it is deficient.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ كُلُّ صَلاَةٍ لاَ يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ

[AI] The messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever does not recite from the mother of the book, then his prayer is not valid."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ فَلَا صَلَاةَ لَهُ»

[AI] The translation of the given Arabic phrase is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever recites one hundred verses in one night, he will be written as one of the devout ones of that night.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ بِمِائَةِ آيَةٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كُتِبَ لَهُ قُنُوتُ لَيْلَةٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Any prayer in which nothing is recited in it is incomplete, then incomplete, then incomplete."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ ثُمَّ هِيَ خِدَاجٌ ثُمَّ هِيَ خِدَاجٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Every prayer in which nothing is recited is flawed, flawed, and flawed."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ ثُمَّ خِدَاجٌ ثُمَّ خِدَاجٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Every prayer in which the mother of the Quran is not recited, it is imperfect, then it is imperfect."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ ثُمَّ هِيَ خِدَاجٌ

[AI] "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ that he said: Every prayer in which the mother of the Book (Surah al-Fatiha) is not recited is incomplete."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ

“Every prayer in which Fatihatil-Kitab (the Opening of the Book) is not recited, it is deficient, it is deficient.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 841)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ

[AI] Abu Sa'id narrated that our Prophet ﷺ commanded us to recite the Opening Chapter of the Book (Al-Fatiha) and whatever is easy for us.

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَمَرَنَا نَبِيُّنَا ﷺ أَنْ نَقْرَأَ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَمَا تَيَسَّرَ

we were commanded to recite Fatihat al-kitab and whatever was convenient (from the Qur’an during the prayer). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 818)

أَمَرَنَا نَبِيُّنَا ﷺ أَنْ نَقْرَأَ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَمَا تَيَسَّرَ

[AI] According to the narration of Ubada bin As-Samit, the Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no prayer for someone who does not recite Al-Fatiha."

عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ رِوَايَةً يَبْلُغُ بِهَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no Salah for one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab or more.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 911)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ فَصَاعِدًا

[AI] Regarding the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever performs a prayer without reciting the opening chapter of the Book (Surah Al-Fatiha) in it, it is incomplete, it is incomplete."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةً لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ»

The Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no Salah for one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 910)

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا يَقْرَأُ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no Salah for one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab or more.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 911)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ فَصَاعِدًا»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no Salah for one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab or more.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 911)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ فَصَاعِدًا»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever recites one hundred verses in a night, Qunut (supplication) of that night will be recorded for him.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ مِائَةَ آيَةٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كُتِبَ لَهُ قُنُوتُ لَيْلَةٍ»

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ he said, 'There is no prayer for someone who keeps turning around.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمُلْتَفِتٍ»

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "There is no prayer for someone who turns around."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمُلْتَفِتٍ»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever does not recite Al-Fatiha in his prayer, his prayer is invalid." (Using translation from Bukhārī 756)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no Salah for one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab or more.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 911)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَصَاعِدًا»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever does not recite Al-Fatiha in his prayer, his prayer is invalid." (Using translation from Bukhārī 756)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed two units of prayer in which he only recited the Opening Chapter of the Book (Al-Fatiha).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهِمَا إِلَّا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ

"كُل صَلاة لا يقرأ فيهَا بأمِّ القرآن فهي خداجٌ".

"كُل صَلاة لَا يُقْرَأ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الكتَابِ فَهى خدَاجٌ فَهِيَ خدَاج- غَير تَمَام".

"كُل صَلاةٍ لَا يُقْرَأ فِيهَا بفَاتِحَةِ الكتَابِ وآيَتَينِ فَهِيَ خدَاج".

"كُلُّ صَلاةٍ لَا يُقرَأ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ إلا صَلاةً خَلفَ إِمَامٍ".

"كُلُّ صَلاةٍ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَاب وآيَتَينِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ".

"مَن صَلَّى صَلاةً لَمْ يَقْرَأ فِيهَا بأُمِّ الْقُرآنِ فَهي خِدَاجٌ، فَهي خِدَاجٌ، فَهي خِدَاجٌ غَيرُ تَمَامٍ".

"مَنْ صَلَّى خَلْفَ إِمَام فَلْيَقْرَأ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ".

"لَا تُجْزِيءُ صلاةٌ لا يُقْرَأُ فِيَها بِفَاتِحَةِ الكتَابِ".

"لا تُجْزِيء صَلاةٌ لا يَقْرَأُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الكِتَابِ".

"The Ṣalāh is not ˹valid˺ for the one who does not recite from the Opening of the Book (Sūrat al-Fātiḥah)."

«لَا صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ۔»

"لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأ بِأُمِّ الْقُرآنِ فَصَاعِدًا (*) ".

"لَا صَلَاةَ إِلَّا بِقِرَاءَةٍ وَلَوْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ".

"عن عمر قال: لا تُجْزِئ صلاةٌ لا يقرأُ فيها بفاتحةِ الكتابِ وآيتين فصاعدًا".

" عَن جَابِرٍ (*) رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ صَلَّى صَلاَةً لَمْ يَقْرَأ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ إِلَّا وَرَاءَ الإِمَامِ".

" عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : كُلُّ صَلاَةٍ لاَ يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْكتَابِ فَهِىَ خِدَاجٌ (*) إِلَّا وَرَاءَ الإِمَامِ".

" عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : لا تُجْزِئُ صَلاةٌ لاَ يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ وَرَاءَ الإِمَامِ".

"عَنْ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأ بِفَاتِحَةِ الكِتَاب خَلْفَ الإِمام".

"عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ : صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَمْ يَقْرَأ فِيهِمَا (إِلاَّ) بِفَاتِحَةِ الكِتَابِ".

"عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاس قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : كُلُّ صَلاَةٍ لاَ يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الكِتَابِ فَلاَ صَلاَةَ إِلَّا وَرَاءَ الإِمَامِ".
