“Even if the one appointed over you is a mutilated Ethiopian slave whose nose and ears have been cut off, listen to him and obey, so long as he leads you according to the Book of Allah.”

So hold fast to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided caliphs after me. Adhere to it and cling to it tightly. And beware of newly invented matters [in religion], for every innovation is misguidance."
