True judgment is based on what the servant has with God, not what people know of each other
ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْحُكْمَ الْحَقِيقِيَّ بِمَا لِلْعَبْدِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ لَا مَا يَعْرِفُ النَّاسُ بَعْضُهُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ
Sahl b. Sa'd reported it from Messenger of Allah ﷺ that a person performs deeds like the deeds of the people of Paradise apparently before people and he would be amongst the dwellers of Hell and a person acts apparently like the people of Hell, but (in fact) he would be among the dwellers of Paradise. (Using translation from Muslim 112b)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَإِنَّهُ لِمَنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَإِنَّهُ لِمَنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ»
