[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There will come a time when something will come to you.' He said, 'I came to you to teach me something to say before I sleep.' He said, 'When you go to your bed, recite Surah Al-Kafirun (Chapter 109) and then sleep upon its completion, for it is a disavowal of polytheism.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَجِيءٌ مَا جَاءَ بِكَ» قَالَ جِئْتُ لِتُعَلِّمَنِي شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ عِنْدَ مَنَامِي قَالَ «فَإِذَا أَخَذْتَ مَضْجَعَكَ فَاقْرَأْ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ثُمَّ نَمْ عَلَى خَاتِمَتِهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ sent the daughter of Umm Salamah to me and said, "You are like my son." So I stayed as long as Allah willed, then I went to him and he asked, "What did the servant girl or the neighbor girl do?" I said, "She was with her mother." He said, "Did what I asked you to do happen?" I said, "Yes, she taught me what to say before sleeping." He said, "Recite before sleeping: Say, 'O disbelievers.'" He said, "Then sleep on its ending, for it is a protection from shirk (associating partners with Allah)."

دَفَعَ إِلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ابْنَةَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ ظِئْرِي قَالَ فَمَكَثَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلَتِ الْجَارِيَةُ أَوِ الْجُوَيْرِيَةُ؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ عِنْدَ أُمِّهَا قَالَ فَمَجِيءُ مَا جِئْتَ؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ تُعَلِّمُنِي مَا أَقُولُ عِنْدَ مَنَامِي فَقَالَ اقْرَأْ عِنْدَ مَنَامِكَ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} قَالَ ثُمَّ نَمْ عَلَى خَاتِمَتِهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, teach me something to say when I go to sleep." He said, "When you lie down at night, recite Surah Al-Kafirun ('O disbelievers!') because it is a disavowal of polytheism."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلِّمْنِي شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ عِنْدَ مَنَامِي قَالَ إِذَا أَخَذْتَ مَضْجَعَكَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَأَقْرَأْ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ asked him, "Do you have a talisman that you rely on?" He replied, "I see it as Zainab." Then he came and asked the Prophet ﷺ about her. The Prophet asked, "What did the slave girl do?" He replied, "I left her with her mother." The Prophet said, "So what brought you here?" He replied, "I came to learn something to say in my dream." The Prophet said, "Read 'Say, O disbelievers' and then sleep over it, as it is a declaration of innocence from polytheism."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ هَلْ لَكَ فِي رَبِيبَةٍ لَنَا فَتَكْفُلُهَا قَالَ أُرَاهَا زَيْنَبُ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَسَأَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْهَا فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلْتِ الْجَارِيَةُ؟ قَالَ تَرَكْتُهَا عِنْدَ أُمِّهَا قَالَ فَمَجِيءُ مَا جَاءَ بِكَ؟ قَالَ جِئْتُ لِتُعَلِّمَنِي شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ عِنْدَ مَنَامِي فَقَالَ اقْرَأْ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ثُمََّ نَمْ عَلَى خَاتِمَتِهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ

[AI] I came to the Prophet ﷺ , and he asked, "Why have you come?" I said, "I have come to learn something that I can say during my sleep." He said, "Recite 'Say, O disbelievers' (Quran 109) before you sleep, as it is a protection from polytheism."

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said to a man: "Recite 'Qul ya ayyuha al-kafiroon' before sleeping, as it is a protection against polytheism."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍِ اقْرَأْ عِنْدَ مَنَامِكَ فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ}

[AI] "From his father, the Prophet ﷺ gave his daughter Umm Salama to him and said, 'You are my son-in-law.' He then approached him and said, 'What did you do with Juwayriyah or the slave girl?' I said, 'She was with her mother.' He said, 'So, what you have come for?' I said, 'I came so that you can teach me something to say in my dreams.' He said, 'Recite: Say, O disbelievers, for it is a disassociation from polytheism.'"

عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ دَفَعَ إِلَيْهِ ابْنَتَهُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنْتِ ظِئْرِي قَالَ فَقَدِمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ «مَا فَعَلْتُ الْجُوَيْرِيَةُ أَوِ الْجَارِيَةُ؟ » قُلْتُ عِنْدَ أُمِّهَا قَالَ «فَمَجِيءُ مَا جِئْتَ» قَالَ جِئْتُ تُعَلِّمُنِي شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ عِنْدَ مَنَامِي قَالَ «اقْرَأْ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do you have a night partner whom you trust to take care of her?" He then came and asked the prophet ﷺ , "I left her with her mother." أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «هَلْ لَكَ فِي رَبِيبَةٍ فَيَكْفُلُهَا* * رَبِيبٌ » *؟ قَالَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَسَأَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ تَرَكْتُهَا عِنْدَ أُمِّهَا قَالَ «فَمَجِيءٌ مَا جَاءَ بِكَ؟ » قَالَ جِئْتُ لِتُعَلِّمَنِي شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ عِنْدَ مَنَامِي قَالَ «اقْرَأْ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} ثُمَّ نَمْ عَلَى خَاتِمَتِهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do you have a rabeepah (slave girl) that you can give to us as a trust?" He (the person being asked) said, "I left her with her mother." The Prophet ﷺ said, "What brought you here then?" He (the person being asked) said, "I came so that you can teach me something to say in my dream." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Recite 'Say, O disbelievers' and then sleep on its completion, for it is a form of protection from shirk (associating partners with Allah)."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «هَلْ لَكَ فِي رَبِيبَةٍ لَنَا فَتَكْفُلُهَا زَيْنَبُ؟ » قَالَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَسَأَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ تَرَكْتُهَا عِنْدَ أُمِّهَا قَالَ «فَمَجِيءٌ مَا جَاءَ بِكَ؟ » قَالَ جِئْتُ لِتُعَمِّلَنِي شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ عِنْدَ مَنَامِي قَالَ «اقْرَأْ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ثُمَّ نَمْ عَلَى خَاتِمَتِهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ»

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'So what have you come with?' I said, 'I have come, O Messenger of Allah, to learn something that I can say during my sleep.' " عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ قَالَ: قُلتُ يَارَسُولَ الله! صَلَّى الله عَلَيْكَ، عَلِّمْنِى شَيْئًا يَنْفَعُنِى، قَالَ: إِذَا أَخَذْتَ مَضْجَعَكَ فَاقْرَأ: {قُلْ يَاأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ".

" قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ الله: أَخْبِرنِى بِشَىْءٍ أَقُولُهُ إِذَا أَصْبحْتُ وَإِذا أَمْسَيْت، فَقَالَ: أقْرَأ {قُلْ يَاأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} ثُمَّ نَمْ عَلَى خَاتِمَتِهَا، فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ".

"عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ دَفَعَ إِلَيْه ابْنَةَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا أَنْتِ ظئرى فَقَدِمَتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: مَا فَعَلت الْجُوَيْرِيَةُ أَوِ الْجَارِيَةُ؟ قُلْتُ: عِنْدَ أُمِّهَا قَالَ: فَفِيمَ جِئتَ؟ ، قُلْتُ: جِئْتُ أَنْ تُعَلِّمَنِى شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ عِنْدَ مَنَامِى، قَالَ: اقرأ {قُلْ يَاأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} فإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ".
