ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنِ الْإِلْحَافِ فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ الْمَرْءُ مُضْطَرًا

Do not press in a matter, for I swear by Allah, none of you who asks me for anything and manages to get his request while I disdain it, will he be blessed in that which I give him.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَوَاللَّهِ لاَ يَسْأَلُنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا فَتُخْرِجَ لَهُ مَسْأَلَتُهُ مِنِّي شَيْئًا وَأَنَا لَهُ كَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَكَ لَهُ فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتُهُ

"Do not be demanding when asking. If one of you asks me for anything and I give it reluctantly, there will be no blessing in it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ وَلاَ يَسْأَلْنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا وَأَنَا لَهُ كَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتُهُ

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Do not persist in asking excessively, for by Allah, no one asks me anything and I grant him his request, except that I make his request blessed for him."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَوَاللهِ لَا يَسْأَلُنِي أَحَدٌ شَيْئًا فَتَخْرُجَ لَهُ مَسْأَلَتُهُ فَيُبَارَكَ لَهُ فِيهِ

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Do not persistently ask me about something, for by Allah, no one asks me for anything and I dislike granting it to them, and then they are blessed in it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تُلْحِفُوا بِي فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَوَاللَّهِ لَا يَسْأَلُنِي أَحَدٌ شَيْئًا فَأُعْطِيَهُ وَأَنَا كَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَكَ لَهُ فِيهِ»

[Machine] The translation of the given sentence is:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not persist in asking for something, for by Allah, nobody asks me for anything and I give it to him from myself, even though I dislike it, but he will be blessed in what I give him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَوَاللَّهِ لَا يَسْأَلُنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا فَتُخْرِجُهُ لَهُ مِنِّي الْمَسْأَلَةُ فَأُعْطِيهِ إِيَّاهُ وَأَنَا كَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِي الَّذِي أُعْطِيهِ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not persist in asking, for by Allah, no one among you asks me for something which I can give him that I will give him, and I have no liking for him. So, blessed is he in what I have given him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَوَاللهِ لَا يَسْأَلُنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا فَيُخْرِجُهُ لَهُ مِنِّي الْمَسْأَلَةُ فَأُعْطِيهِ إِيَّاهُ وَأَنَا لَهُ كَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِي الَّذِي أَعْطَيْتُهُ»

"Do not be demanding when asking. If one of you asks me for anything and I give it reluctantly, there will be no blessing in it." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2593)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَلَا يَسْأَلْنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا وَأَنَا لَهُ كَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَكَ لَهُ فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتُهُ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not insist on asking so much, for by Allah, no one among you asks me anything that causes me to give something from myself while I dislike it, except that he will be blessed in it." This is the wording of the hadith of Sufyan.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَوَاللهِ لَا يَسْأَلُنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا فَتَخْرُجُ مَسْأَلَتُهُ مِنِّي شَيْئًا وَأَنَا كَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِيهَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ

"لاَ تُلِحُّوا في الْمَسْأَلَةِ، فَوَالله لاَ يَسْأَلُنِى أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا فَتُخْرجَ لَهُ مَسْأَلَتُهُ مِنِّى شَيْئًا وَأَنَا لَهُ كَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَكَ لَهُ فِيمَا أَعَطَيْتُهُ".
