[Machine] A'ishah said, "Shorten the sermon on Fridays once, and if you wish, then twice, but if you still wish, then three times. Do not address the people while they are engaged in their discussions, for you will interrupt them. However, if they listen to your speech, then speak to them. Avoid rhyming phrases in your supplications, as I have seen the Prophet ﷺ and his companions dislike that."

[Machine] The following is the translation in English: Al-Tufail ibn 'Amr al-Dawsi came to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed Dawsi has disobeyed and refused. So please supplicate to Allah against them." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "O Allah, guide Dawsi and bring them to me."

[Machine] "A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned a tribe called Daws. He said that they had mentioned their men and women. The Prophet ﷺ raised his hands and said, 'Verily, to Allah we belong and unto Him is our return. Daws has perished by the Lord of the Ka'bah.' Then the Prophet ﷺ raised his hands again and said, 'O Allah, guide Daws.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out one day and we went out with him until we reached the graveyards. He commanded us and we sat down. Then he stepped over the graves until he reached a grave and sat beside it. He engaged in a long conversation with it and then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned, crying. We cried because of the crying of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Then he approached us and Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) received him and said, "What has made you cry, O Messenger of Allah, for you have made us cry and caused us to be frightened?" He held Umar's hand and approached us and said, "Did my crying frighten you?" We said, "Yes." He said, "I saw the grave that you saw me conversing with, it is the grave of Umm Ammarah bint Wahb. I asked my Lord to seek forgiveness for her, but He did not permit me. And I was revealed the verse {It is not (proper) for the Prophet and those who believe to seek forgiveness for the Mushrikun} [Quran 9:113]. Then, I was given what a child takes from the back of his father, and that is what made me cry. Surely, I had prevented you from visiting the graves, but you should visit them, for they remind one of the Hereafter and make one disinterested in this world."

My uncle, you just make a profession that there is no god but Allah, and I will bear testimony before Allah (of your being a believer), Abu Jahl and 'Abdullah b. Abi Umayya addressing him said: Abu Talib, would you abandon the religion of 'Abdul-Muttalib? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ constantly requested him (to accept his offer), and (on the other hand) was repeated the same statement (of Abu Jahl and 'Abdullah b. Abi Umayya) till Abu Talib gave his final decision and be stuck to the religion of 'Abdul-Muttalib and refused to profess that there is no god but Allah. Upon this the Messenger of Allah remarked: By Allah, I will persistently beg pardon for you till I am forbidden to do so (by God), It was then that Allah, the Magnificent and the Glorious, revealed this verse: " It is not meet for the Prophet and for those who believe that they should beg pardon for the polytheists, even though they were their kith and kin, after it had been made known to them that they were the denizens of Hell" (ix. 113) And it was said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: " Verily thou canst not guide to the right path whom thou lovest. And it is Allah Who guideth whom He will, and He knoweth best who are the guided" (xxviii, 56). (Using translation from Muslim 24a)

So I said to my wife, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is coming to us, so make sure not to speak to him or harm him.' He ﷺ then came, and I slaughtered a chicken for him that we had. He said, 'O Jabir, it seems that you know our love for meat?' When he left, my wife said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, send blessings upon me and my husband.' He did so and then said to her, 'Did I not say to you?' She said, 'O Messenger of Allah, he used to enter our house and leave without sending blessings upon us?!'"

"A Bedouin entered the mosque when the Messenger of Allah was sitting there, and (the man) said: 'O Allah, forgive me and Muhammed, and do not forgive anyone else with us.' The Messenger of Allah smiled and said: 'You have placed restrictions on something that is vast.' Then the Bedouin turned away, went to a corner of the mosque, spread his legs and began to urinate. After he had a better understanding, the Bedouin said: 'He got up and came to me, and may my father and mother be ransomed for him, he did not rebuke me nor revile me. He said: "This mosque is not for urinating in. Rather it is built for the remembrance of Allah and prayer.'" Then he called for a large vessel of water and poured it over the place where he had urinated." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 529)

Then he performed a non-obligatory prayer, and we prayed with him. He invoked blessings for Umm Salim and her household. Umm Salim said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a relative called Khawisah." He asked, "Who is she, Umm Salim?" She replied, "Your servant Anas." He then prayed for me for the good of this world and the hereafter, saying, "O Allah, provide him with wealth, children, and bless him." So I am among the people with the most children.

The people complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ of the lack of rain, so he gave an order for a pulpit. It was then set up for him in the place of prayer. He fixed a day for the people on which they should come out. Aisha said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when the rim of the sun appeared, sat down on the pulpit, and having pronounced the greatness of Allah and expressed His praise, he said: You have complained of drought in your homes, and of the delay in receiving rain at the beginning of its season. Allah has ordered you to supplicate Him has and promised that He will answer your prayer. Then he said: Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe, the Compassionate, the Merciful, the Master of the Day of Judgment. There is no god but Allah Who does what He wishes. O Allah, Thou art Allah, there is no deity but Thou, the Rich, while we are the poor. Send down the rain upon us and make what Thou sendest down a strength and satisfaction for a time. He then raised his hands, and kept raising them till the whiteness under his armpits was visible. He then turned his back to the people and inverted or turned round his cloak while keeping his hands aloft. He then faced the people, descended and prayed two rak'ahs. Allah then produced a cloud, and the storm of thunder and lightning came on. Then the rain fell by Allah's permission, and before he reached his mosque streams were flowing. When he saw the speed with which the people were seeking shelter, he ﷺ laughed till his back teeth were visible. Then he said: I testify that Allah is Omnipotent and that I am Allah's servant and apostle. Abu Dawud said: This is a ghraib (rate) tradition, but its chain is sound. The people of Medina recite "maliki" (instead of maaliki) yawm al-din" (the master of the Day of Judgement). But this tradition (in which the word maalik occurs) is an evidence for them. A man entered the masjid when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was standing and delivering the Khutbah. He turned to face the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, our wealth has been destroyed and the routes have been cut off. Pray to Allah (SWT) to send us rain.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hands then said: "O Allah, send us rain." Anas said: "By Allah, we had not seen even a wisp of a cloud in the sky and there were no houses or buildings between us and (the mountain of ) Sal'. Then a cloud like a shield appeared, and when it reached the middle of the sky it spread and it began to rain." Anas said: "By Allah, we did not see the sun for a week. Then a man entered through that door on the following Friday, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was standing and delivering the Khutbah. He turned to face him standing and said: 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, may Allah (SWT) send blessings upon you. Our wealth has been destroyed and the routes have been cut off. Pray to Allah (SWT) to withold (the rain) from us.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hands and said: 'O Allah, around us and not on us.; O Allah, on the hills and mountains, the bottoms of the valleys and where the trees grow.' Then it stopped raining and we went out walking in the sun." Sharik said: 'I asked Anas: 'Was he the same man?' He said: 'No.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1518)

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to teach us the Tashahhud in prayer, just as he used to teach us a chapter from the Quran. He would teach us things that he had not taught us before, just as he taught us the Tashahhud. "O Allah, unite our hearts, reconcile between us, guide us on the path of peace, and save us from darkness into light. Keep us protected in our hearing, sight, and spouses, and make us grateful for Your blessings, praising and accepting them. Complete Your blessings upon us."

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed the Shaitan has an effect on the son of Adam, and the angel also has en effect. As for the Shaitan, it is by threatening evil repercussions and rejecting the truth. As for the effect of the angel, it is by his promise of a good end and believing in the truth. Whoever finds that, let him know that it is from Allah, and let him praise Allah for it. Whoever finds the other then let him seek refuge with Allah from the Shaitan (the outcast) then recite: Shaitan threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit Fahisha (2:268)." I heard Abu Burdah say: I heard ʿAli bin Abi Talib ؓ say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿSay: O Allah, I ask You for guidance and proper aim. When you ask for guidance, think of directions when travelling, and when you ask for proper aim, think of aiming an arrow.” And he forbade - or forbade me - to wear garments made from a blend of linen and silk, to use red saddle cloths, or to wear a ring on the forefinger or middle finger.
