Verily, a man would perform the deeds of the people of Paradise for a long time, then his deeds would be concluded with the deeds of the people of Hell. And verily, a man would perform the deeds of the people of Hell for a long time, and then his deeds would be concluded with the deeds of the people of Paradise.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَنَ الطَّوِيلَ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ يُخْتَمُ لَهُ عَمَلُهُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَنَ الطَّوِيلَ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ثُمَّ يُخْتَمُ لَهُ عَمَلُهُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ

Verily, a man would perform the deeds of the people of Paradise for a long time, then his deeds would be concluded with the deeds of the people of Hell. And verily, a man would perform the deeds of the people of Hell for a long time, and then his deeds would be concluded with the deeds of the people of Paradise. (Using translation from Muslim 2651)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَانَ الطَّوِيلَ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ يَخْتِمُ اللهُ لَهُ عَمَلَهُ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَيَجْعَلُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَانَ الطَّوِيلَ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ثُمَّ يَخْتِمُ اللهُ لَهُ عَمَلَهُ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَجْعَلُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيُدْخِلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, a person may perform the actions of the people of the Fire, while he is from the people of Paradise. And verily, a person may perform the actions of the people of Paradise, while he is from the people of the Fire. Indeed, actions are judged by their endings."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالْخَوَاتِيمِ

Sahl b. Sa'd reported it from Messenger of Allah ﷺ that a person performs deeds like the deeds of the people of Paradise apparently before people and he would be amongst the dwellers of Hell and a person acts apparently like the people of Hell, but (in fact) he would be among the dwellers of Paradise. (Using translation from Muslim 112b)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ»

[AI] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, a man may perform the deeds of the people of Paradise throughout a lengthy period of time, then Allah seals it for him with the deeds of the people of the Fire, so he becomes from the people of the Fire. And verily, a man may perform the deeds of the people of the Fire throughout a lengthy period of time, then Allah seals it for him with the deeds of the people of Paradise, so he becomes from the people of Paradise."

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَانَ الطَّوِيلَ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ يَخْتِمُ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَيَجْعَلُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَانَ الطَّوِيلَ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ثُمَّ يَخْتِمُ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَجْعَلُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قال إن الرجل ليعمل الزمان الطويل بأعمال أهل الجنة ثُمَّ يختم عمله بأعمال أهل النار فيجعله الله من أهل النار وَإن الرجل ليعمل الزمان الطويل بأعمال أهل النار ثُمَّ يختم الله عمله بأعمال أهل الجنة فيجعله الله من أهل الجنة

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said, "Indeed, a man may perform the actions of the people of Paradise while appearing to be one of them, but he is actually one of the people of Hell. Likewise, a man may perform the actions of the people of Hell while appearing to be one of them, but he is actually one of the people of Paradise."

Verily, a man would perform the deeds of the people of Paradise for a long time, then his deeds would be concluded with the deeds of the people of Hell. "إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمنَ الطَّويلَ بِعَمَلِ أهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، ثُمَّ يَختِمُ الله عَمَلَهُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْل النَّارِ، فَيَجْعَلُه مِنْ أهْلِ النَّارِ، وإن الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَن الطَّويلَ بَعمَلِ أهْلِ النَّارِ، ثُمَّ يَخْتِمُ الله عَمَلَهُ بَعَمل أَهْل الْجَنَّةِ فَيَجْعَلُهُ مِنْ أهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيُدْخِلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ ".
