Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The head (or summit) of disbelief lies towards the east and the pride and arrogance lie in people who possess horses and camels who are also coarse - the bedouins. Tranquillity lies in people who possess sheep."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالإِبِلِ الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The main source of disbelief is in the east. Pride and arrogance are characteristics of the owners of horses and camels, and those bedouins who are busy with their camels and pay no attention to Religion; while modesty and gentleness are the characteristics of the owners of sheep."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالإِبِلِ وَالْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Pride and arrogance are characteristics of the rural bedouins while calmness is found among the owners of sheep. Belief is Yemenite, and wisdom is also Yemenite i.e. the Yemenites are well-known for their true belief and wisdom)."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

The summit of unbelief is towards the East and the pride and conceitedness is found among the owners of horses and camels who are rude and uncivil, people of the tents, and tranquillity is found among those who rear goats and sheep.

The belief is among the Yemenites, and the unbelief is towards the East, and tranquillity is among those who rear goats and sheep, and pride and simulation is among the uncivil and rude owners of horses and camels.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْكُفْرُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالرِّيَاءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْوَبَرِ

I heard the Messenger of Allah saying this: Pride and conceitedness is found among the uncivil owners of the camels and tranquillity is found among the owners of sheep and goats.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

I heard the Prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him) saying: There came the people of Yemen, they are tender of feelings and meek of hearts. The belief is that of the Yemenites, the sagacity is that of the Yemenites, the tranquillity is among the owners of goats and sheep, and pride and conceitedness is among the uncivil owners of the camels, the people of the tents in the direction of sunrise.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ جَاءَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً وَأَضْعَفُ قُلُوبًا الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ السَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ قِبَلَ مَطْلِعِ الشَّمْسِ

"Faith is Yemeni, and disbelief is from the direction of the east. Tranquility is for the people of sheep, and wickedness and Riya is in those who boast among the people of horses and the people of camels. Al-Masih – that is Ad-Dajjal- will come, and when he reaches behind Uhud, the angels will turn his face to the direction of Ash-Sham, and is there that he will be destroyed.” (Sahih)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْكُفْرُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ لأَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالرِّيَاءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَأَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ يَأْتِي الْمَسِيحُ إِذَا جَاءَ دُبُرَ أُحُدٍ صَرَفَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَجْهَهُ قِبَلَ الشَّامِ وَهُنَالِكَ يَهْلِكُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Pride and arrogance are found among blacksmiths from the righteous people, tranquility is found among shepherds, and faith is found among Yemenis, and wisdom is Yemeni."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْكُفْرُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالرِّيَاءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْوَبَرِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Faith is in Yemen, and knowledge is in Yemen, and wisdom is in Yemen. The people of Yemen have the softest hearts and the most tender hearts. Disbelief lies to the east, and pride and arrogance lie within the horsemen and camel-herders. The people of piety and righteousness are the people of livestock. And tranquility is among the people of sheep."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ فَهُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً وَأَلْيَنُ قُلُوبًا وَالْكُفْرُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْإِبِلِ وَالْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْإِبِلِ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

Malik related to me from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The head of kufr is towards the east. Boasting and price is among people who have horses and camels. The loud-voiced people are the people of tents (the Bedouins). Tranquillity is with the people who have sheep."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالإِبِلِ وَالْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

[AI] Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: "Eman takes a turn around Yanbu', and unbelief takes a turn facing the east, and tranquility descends among the people of goats, and pride and restlessness amongst the cobblers and awards righteousness to the horsemen. War is bound to come, and the smallest group (of fighters) will be consisted of one hundred, until when the enemy surrounds them, Allah would set their ranks right and would bless them with martyrs (i.e. they would be blessed with martyrdom on the battlefield). And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:" There would come forth a person from my Ummah who shall be called Mahdi and he shall fill the earth with justice as it has been filled with oppression and tyranny.

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْإِ يمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْكُفْرُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالرِّيَاءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْوَبَرِ يَأْتِي الْمَسِيحُ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاوَزَ أُحُدًا صَرَفَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَجْهَهُ قِبَلَ الشَّامِ وَهُنَالِكَ يَهْلِكُ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ الفخر والخيلاء في الفدادين من أهل الوبر والسكينة في أهل الغنم والإيمان يمان والحكمة يمانية

عَنِ النَّبِي ﷺ قال أتاكم أهل اليمن أرق أفئدة الإيمان يمان والحكمة يمانية

أَنَّ النَّبِي ﷺ قال أتاكم أهل اليمن أرق أفئدة الإيمان يمان والحكمة يمانية

"الإيمان يمان والكفرُ قِبَلَ المَشْرق والسكينةُ لأهل الغنم، والفخرُ والرياءُ في الْفَدَّادِين أَهل الخيَلِ وأهلِ الوَبَر، يأتي المسيحُ إِذا جاءَ دُبُرَ أَحد، صَرفتِ الملائكةُ وجهَهُ قِبَلَ الشام، وهنالِكَ يَهْلِك" .

"رأسُ الْكُفْر نحْو المشْرق، والْفخْرُ والْخيلَاءُ في أَهْل الْخيْل والإِبل والْفدَّادِين أَهْل الْوبر، والسكينةُ في أَهْل الْغنم".
