I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Amongst all those women who ride camels (i.e. Arabs), the ladies of Quraish are the best. They are merciful and kind to their off-spring and the best guardians of their husbands' properties.' Abu Huraira added, "Mary the daughter of ʿImran never rode a camel."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الإِبِلَ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى طِفْلٍ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى إِثْرِ ذَلِكَ وَلَمْ تَرْكَبْ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ بَعِيرًا قَطُّ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best women are the riders of the camels and the righteous among the women of Quraish. They are the kindest women to their children in their childhood and the more careful women of the property of their husbands."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الإِبِلَ صَالِحُو نِسَاءِ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best women among the camel riders, are the women of Quraish." (Another narrator said) The Prophet ﷺ said, "The righteous among the women of Quraish are those who are kind to their young ones and who look after their husband's property . "

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الإِبِلَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ وَقَالَ الآخَرُ صَالِحُ نِسَاءِ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ وَيُذْكَرُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

Good amongst the women are those who ride camels. One of them said: They are pious women of the Quraish, and the other one said: The women of the Quraish are kind to the orphans in their childhood and look after the wealth of their spouses.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الإِبِلَ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا صَالِحُ نِسَاءِ قُرَيْشٍ وَقَالَ الآخَرُ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى يَتِيمٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The women of the Quraish are good amongst the womenfolk. They ride camels and show affection to their children and zealously guard the wealth of their husbands. Abu Huraira said at the end of this narration that Mary, the daughter of Imran, never rode the camel.

The best women who ride the camels are the pious women of the Quraish; they treat with affection children in their childhood and keep a strict watch on the wealth of their spouses.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الإِبِلَ صَالِحُ نِسَاءِ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon to Umm Hani bint Abi Talib. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have grown old and I have children." The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best women who ride camels are the women of Quraysh. They are the most compassionate towards their young in their childhood and take care of them when they are married. Abu Huraira said, "Maryam, the daughter of Imran, did not ride a camel."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَطَبَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ كَبِرْتُ وَلِي عِيَالٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍفِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَلَمْ تَرْكَبْ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ بَعِيرًا

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'The best of women are those who ride camels, the righteous women of the Quraish. They are gentle towards their children when they are young and they take care of their husbands. Abu Hurairah said, 'Mary never rode a camel before.'"

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ يَعْنِي نِسَاءَ قُرَيْشٍ

Abu Huraira said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ knew that the daughter of Al-Khattab did not ride camels.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْفَقُهُ بِزَوْجٍ عَلَى قِلَّةِ ذَاتِ يَدِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَقَدْ عَلِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّ ابْنَةَ الْخَطَّابِ لَمْ تَرْكَبِ الْإِبِلَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ gave a sermon to Umm Hani' bint Abi Talib, and she said, "I have grown old and I have children." The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best women who rode camels are the women of the Quraysh. They used to be the most affectionate towards their children when they were young and the most caring towards their husbands. No woman, like Maryam bint 'Imran, has ever ridden a camel."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَطَبَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي قَدْ كَبِرْتُ وَلِي عِيَالٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدِهِ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ وَلَمْ تَرْكَبْ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ بَعِيرًا قَطُّ»

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ؛ أَنَّه خطب أم هانىء بنت أبي طالب فقالت يا رَسولَ اللهِ إني قد كبرت ولي عيال فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خير نساء ركبن الإبل صالح نساء قريش أحناه على ولد في صغره وأرعاه على زوج في ذات يده وهذا الحديث قد رواه يُونُس أيضا عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن سَعِيد عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال خير نساء ركبن الإبل أحناه على ولد وأرعاه على زوج في ذات ليلة

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خير نساء ركبن الإبل صالح نساء قريش أحناه على ولد في صغره وأرعاه على زوج في ذات يده وَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمْهُ يُرْوَى عَنِ ابْنِ طاوس عن أبيه عن أبي هريرة ؓ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ

عَنِ النَّبِي ﷺ قَالَ خَيْرُ نساء ركبن الإبل نساء قريش أحناه على ولد في صغره وأرعاه على زوج في ذات يده

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ approached me and I said, "There is no desire in me towards you, O Messenger of Allah, but I do not want to marry while my children are still young." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Why not? The best of women are those of Quraish who ride camels. They are the most tender towards their children in their youth and the most caring towards their husbands."

خَطَبَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ مَا بِي عَنْكَ رَغْبَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَلَكِنْ لَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَتَزَوَّجَ وَبَنِيَّ صِغَارٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لِمَ؟ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى طِفْلٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى بَعْلٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ»

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Amongst all those women who ride camels (i.e. Arabs), the ladies of Quraish are the best. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ

"خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ ركِبْنَ الإِبلَ: صَالِحُ نِسَاءِ قُريشٍ، أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَد فِى صِغَرِهِ، وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ في ذَاتِ يَدِهِ".

"خَيْرُ نِساءٍ ركبْنَ الإِبِلَ نِساءُ قُريْشٍ: أَحْنَاهُ علَى ولَدٍ في صغَرِهِ، وأَرْعاهُ علَى بعْلٍ في ذَاتِ يدِهِ، ولَوْ علِمْتُ أَنَّ مرْيمَ ابْنَةَ عِمْرانَ رَكِبَتْ بَعِيرًا مَا فَضَّلتُ عَلَيْهَا أحَدًا".

"نِسَاءُ قُرَيشٍ خَيرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الإِبِلَ، أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَد في صغَرِهِ، وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ في ذَاتِ يَدِهِ، وَلَوْ أَنَّ مرْيَمَ بِنْتَ عِمْرَانَ رَكِبَتْ الإِبِلَ مَا فضَّلتُ عَليهَا أَحَدًا".
