Messenger of Allah ﷺ put me in charge of his sacrificial animals, that I should give their flesh. skins and saddle cloths as sadaqa, but not to give anything to the butcher, saying: We would pay him ourselves.

أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِلَحْمِهَا وَجُلُودِهَا وَأَجِلَّتِهَا وَأَنْ لاَ أُعْطِيَ الْجَزَّارَ مِنْهَا قَالَ نَحْنُ نُعْطِيهِ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) commanded me to take charge of (his) sacrificial camels and to distribute the skins and saddle clothes (after sacrifice) as sadaqah. He commanded me not to give anything from it to the butcher. He said we used to give it (the wages) to the butcher ourselves.

أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَقْسِمَ جُلُودَهَا وَجِلاَلَهَا وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ لاَ أُعْطِيَ الْجَزَّارَ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا وَقَالَ نَحْنُ نُعْطِيهِ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to look after his sacrificial camels, to share out their covers and skins, and not to give the butcher any of it. He said: ‘We will give him (his wages).’”

أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَنْ أَقْسِمَ جِلاَلَهَا وَجُلُودَهَا وَأَنْ لاَ أُعْطِيَ الْجَازِرَ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا وَقَالَ نَحْنُ نُعْطِيهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me to take care of his sacrificial animals and to give their meat, skins and blankets in charity, and not to give the butcher anything from them. He said: ʿWe will give him something ourselves.ʿ It was narrated that ‘Ali ؓ said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me... a similar report, except that he did not say, ʿWe will give him something ourselves.”

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me to share out the meat of his sacrifice and to be in charge of it, and to share out its skin and blankets, and he instructed me not to give the butcher anything of it and said: ʿWe will give him something ourselves.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 593)

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْسِمَ جُلُودَهَا وَجِلَالَهَا

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِجُلُودِهَا وَجِلَالِهَا وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ لَا أُعْطِيَ الْجَازِرَ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى حَدِيثَ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ إِلَّا أَبُو بَحْرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ

" عن على قال: أمرنى رسول الله ﷺ أن أقوم على بُدْنِهِ، وأن أتصدق بلحومها وجلدها، وأن أحلها، وأن لا أعطى الجزار منها شيئًا، وقال: نحن نعطيه من عندنا ".

"عَنْ عَلِىٍّ قَالَ: أَمَرَنِى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ حِينَ بَعَثَ مَعِى بِالْهَدْىِ أَنْ أَتَصدَّقَ بِجُلودِهَا وجِلَالِها، وَلَا أُعْطِى الجَازِرَ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا، ومَعِى مِائَةُ بَدَنَةٍ".
