Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered me to give in charity the skin and the coverings of the Budn which I had slaughtered.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me to take care of his sacrificial animals and to give their skins and blankets in charity.

أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِجُلُودِهَا وَجِلالِهَا

nasai-kubra:4131 – ʿAmr b. ʿAlī > Yaḥyá > Ibn Jurayj > al-Ḥasan b. Muslim And ʿAbd al-Karīm al-Jazarī > Mujāhid > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū Laylá > ʿAlī

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me to take care of his sacrificial animals and to give their meat, skins and blankets in charity, and not to give the butcher anything from them. He said: ʿWe will give him something ourselves.ʿ It was narrated that ‘Ali ؓ said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me... a similar report, except that he did not say, ʿWe will give him something ourselves.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1325)

الكبرى للنسائي:٤١٣١ – أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ وَعَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ الْجَزَرِيُّ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِلُحُومِهَا وَجُلُودِهَا وَأَنْ لَا أُعْطِيَ فِي جِزَارَتِهَا مِنْهَا شَيْئًا»
