البزّار:٢٥٩٨ – حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى وَأَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا

أَحَبَّ قَوْمًا وَلَمَّا يَلْحَقْ بِهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلًا أَحَبَّ قَوْمًا وَلَمَّا يَلْحَقْ بِهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

What is your opinion about the person who loves the people but his (acts or deeds are not identical to theirs)? Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: A person would be along with one whom he loves.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was approached by a man who said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about a person who loves a certain group of people but is unable to join them?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "A person will be with those whom he loves."
