“On one of the wings of a fly there is a poison and on the other is the cure. If it falls into the food, then dip it into it, for it puts the poison first and holds back the cure.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَىِ الذُّبَابِ سُمٌّ وَفِي الآخَرِ شِفَاءٌ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَامْقُلُوهُ فِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ السُّمَّ وَيُؤَخِّرُ الشِّفَاءَ

[Machine] I entered upon Abu Salamah and he brought us butter and a piece of cheese. Then a fly fell into the food, so Abu Salamah picked it up with his finger and threw it away. I said, "O Uncle, what are you doing?" He replied, "Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri informed me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'One of the wings of a fly contains poison, while the other contains a cure. So when a fly falls into the food, dip it fully, for the poison is on one wing, and the cure is on the other.'"

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي سَلَمَةَ فَأَتَانَا بِزُبْدٍ وَكُتْلَةٍ فَأُسْقِطَ ذُبَابٌ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَجَعَلَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَمْقُلُهُ بِأُصْبُعِهِ فِيهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا خَالُ مَا تَصْنَعُ؟ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّأَحَدَ جَنَاحَيِ الذُّبَابِ سُمٌّ وَالْآخَرَ شِفَاءٌ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَامْقُلُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ السُّمَّ وَيُؤَخِّرُ الشِّفَاءَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: If a fly falls into one of your utensils, then dip it entirely, for one of its wings carries a disease and the other carries a cure.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَفِي الْآخَرِ دَوَاءً

[Machine] Concerning the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "If a fly falls into one of your containers, then dip it fully in, for indeed in its one wing there is a disease and in the other wing there is a cure."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَامْقُلُوهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَفِي الْآخَرِ دَوَاءً»

"إِذَا وقَعَ الذُّبابُ في إناءِ أحدِكُمْ فليَمْقُله فيه، فإنَّ في أحد جناحَيهْ سُمًّا وفي الآخِر شفاءً، وإنه يُقَدِّمُ السُّمَ ويؤخِّرُ الشِّفاءَ".

"إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ في إناء أحدكُمْ فامْقُلوه، فإنَّ في أَحد جناحيه داءً وفي الآخَرِ دواءً".

"فِي أَحَدِ جنَاحَى الذُّبابِ سُمٌّ وَالآخَر شِفَاءٌ, فَإِذَا وَقَعَ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَامْقُلُوه فِيهِ، فَإِنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ السُّمَّ وَيُؤَخِّرُ الشِّفَاءَ".
