Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If a fly falls in the vessel of any of you, let him dip all of it (into the vessel) and then throw it away, for in one of its wings there is a disease and in the other there is healing (antidote for it) i e. the treatment for that disease."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ كُلَّهُ ثُمَّ لْيَطْرَحْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ شِفَاءً وَفِي الآخَرِ دَاءً

when a fly alights in anyone’s vessel, he should plunge it all in, for in one of its wings there is a disease, and in the other is a cure. It prevents the wing of it is which there is a cure, so plunge it all in (the vessel).

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَامْقُلُوهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَفِي الآخَرِ شِفَاءً وَإِنَّهُ يَتَّقِي بِجَنَاحِهِ الَّذِي فِيهِ الدَّاءُ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ كُلَّهُ

“On one of the wings of a fly there is a poison and on the other is the cure. If it falls into the food, then dip it into it, for it puts the poison first and holds back the cure.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَىِ الذُّبَابِ سُمٌّ وَفِي الآخَرِ شِفَاءٌ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَامْقُلُوهُ فِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ السُّمَّ وَيُؤَخِّرُ الشِّفَاءَ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ: When a fly falls into one of your containers, let it be submerged, for indeed in one of its wings there is a cure and in the other there is a disease.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ شِفَاءً وَالْآخَرِ دَاءً

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: If a fly falls into one of your utensils, then dip it entirely, for one of its wings carries a disease and the other carries a cure.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَفِي الْآخَرِ دَوَاءً

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, in one of the wings of the fly there is a disease, and in the other there is a cure. So if the fly falls into the vessel of one of you, then let him immerse it and then take it out."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ الذُّبَابَ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءٌ وَفِي الْآخَرِ شِفَاءٌ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ يَتَّقِي بِالَّذِي فِيهِ الدَّاءُ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If a fly falls into the food or drink of one of you, he should dip it (the fly) and then take it out, for one of its wings carries disease and the other carries the cure. Then he should take what he needs from it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي طَعَامِ أَحَدِكُمْ أَوْ شَرَابِهِ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ إِذَا أَخْرَجَهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَفِي الْآخَرِ شِفَاءً وَإِنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ الدَّاءَ

[AI] I entered upon Abu Salamah and he brought us butter and a piece of cheese. Then a fly fell into the food, so Abu Salamah picked it up with his finger and threw it away. I said, "O Uncle, what are you doing?" He replied, "Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri informed me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'One of the wings of a fly contains poison, while the other contains a cure. So when a fly falls into the food, dip it fully, for the poison is on one wing, and the cure is on the other.'"

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي سَلَمَةَ فَأَتَانَا بِزُبْدٍ وَكُتْلَةٍ فَأُسْقِطَ ذُبَابٌ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَجَعَلَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَمْقُلُهُ بِأُصْبُعِهِ فِيهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا خَالُ مَا تَصْنَعُ؟ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّأَحَدَ جَنَاحَيِ الذُّبَابِ سُمٌّ وَالْآخَرَ شِفَاءٌ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَامْقُلُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ السُّمَّ وَيُؤَخِّرُ الشِّفَاءَ

"إِذَا وقَعَ الذُّبابُ في إناءِ أحدِكُمْ فليَمْقُله فيه، فإنَّ في أحد جناحَيهْ سُمًّا وفي الآخِر شفاءً، وإنه يُقَدِّمُ السُّمَ ويؤخِّرُ الشِّفاءَ".

"إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ في إناء أحدكُمْ فامْقُلوه، فإنَّ في أَحد جناحيه داءً وفي الآخَرِ دواءً".

The Prophet ﷺ said "If a house fly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink) and take it out, for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3320)

"إِذَا وقَعَ الذُّبابُ في شراب أحدِكُمْ فليَغمسْه، ثُمَّ لينزِعْه، فإنَّه في إِحْدى جناحِيه داءً، وفي الآخر شفاءً".
