[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Do you read the prayer with me?" We said, "Yes." He said, "Do not do so except with the opening chapter of the Book." Abu Abdullah Al-Hafiz informed us, on the authority of Abu Al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub, on the authority of Abu Zara'ah Abdul Rahman ibn Amr Al-Damashqi, on the authority of Al-Walid ibn Utabah, on the authority of Al-Walid ibn Muslim who said, "One of them narrated to me, Sa'id ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Tanukhi, and he mentioned it. This is an error because the Mu'adhin and the Imam were Abu Nu'aim, and the narration is from Mak'hul from Mahmoud ibn Al-Rabi' from Ubada, and from Mak'hul from Nafi' ibn Mahmoud, from Ubada. It seems that he heard it from both of them." Abu Bakr ibn Al-Harith Al-Faqih informed us, on the authority of Ali ibn Umar Al-Hafiz who said, Ibn Sa'id said, "His statement about Abu Nu'aim, I think it is a mistake. Indeed, Abu Nu'aim was the Mu'adhin, but he was not as the Walid narrated from Abu Nu'aim from Ubada." The Shaykh also narrated it. Haram ibn Hakim narrated it, on the authority of Nafi' ibn Mahmoud.  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ هَلْ تَقْرَءُونَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ مَعِي؟ قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا إِلَّا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَبُو زَرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ التَّنُوخِيُّ فَذَكَرَهُ وَهَذَا خَطَأٌ إِنَّمَا الْمُؤَذِّنُ وَالْإِمَامُ كَانَ أَبَا نُعَيْمٍ وَالْحَدِيثُ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ وَعَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ مَحْمُودٍ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ فَكَأَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُمَا جَمِيعًا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ صَاعِدٍ قَوْلُهُ عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ خَطَأً إِنَّمَا كَانَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْمُؤَذِّنَ وَلَيْسَ هُوَ كَمَا قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ وَرَوَاهُ أَيْضًا حَرَامُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ مَحْمُودٍ  

[Machine] He said, "When one of you sees lightning or thunder, do not point at it, rather describe it." Abu Sa'eed ibn Abi 'Amr informed us, Abu al-'Abbas narrated to us, Rabee'ah narrated to us, Shafi'i narrated to me, from Sulaiman ibn Abdullah who heard it from 'Urwah. This is mentioned in the Musnad compiled by Ibn Ma'tar, and we heard it from Abu Zakariya and others who heard it from Sulaiman ibn Abdullah ibn Uwaymir, who heard it from 'Urwah. And in al-Mabsut, which we heard from Abu Sa'eed ibn Uwaymir, and the authentic narration is the narration of Abu Sa'eed 6473.  

أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْبَرْقَ أَوِ الْوَدْقَ فَلَا يُشِرْ إِلَيْهِ وَلْيَصِفْ وَلْيَنْعَتْ 6473 أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أَنْبَأَنِي مَنْ لَا أَتَّهِمُ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بِذَلِكَ هُوَ فِي الْمُسْنَدِ الَّذِي خَرَّجَهُ ابْنُ مَطَرٍ وَسَمِعْنَاهُ مِنْ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُوَيْمِرٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ وَفِي الْمَبْسُوطِ الَّذِي سَمِعْنَاهُ مِنْ أَبِي سَعِيدِ ابْنُ عُوَيْمِرٍ وَالصَّحِيحُ رِوَايَةُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ 6473 فَقَدْ  

[Machine] Allah ﷺ said, "The siwak (tooth-stick) cleanses the mouth and pleases the Lord." Muhammad bin Yahya bin Abi 'Umar narrated it from Ibn 'Uyaynah, from Mas'ar, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, from 'Abdullah bin Abi 'Atiqah, from 'Aishah. Abu Sa'id Sa'id bin Muhammad Ash-Sha'bi informed me, and Abu Muhammad Al-Hasan bin Ahmad bin Salih As-Sabii'iy Al-Hafiz informed me in Baghdad, dictated by his memory. 'Ali bin 'Abdul Hamid and Abu 'Abdul Rahman As-Sulami also informed us. I am Al-Hasan bin 'Ali Al-Hafiz, 'Ali bin 'Abdul Hamid Al-Ghadhayiri from Halab, narrated to us Muhammad bin Yahya bin Abi 'Umar Al-'Adani, Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah narrated from Mas'ar. He mentioned it in a similar manner except that he said Aishah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , said, "I heard the Shaykh Ibn Abi 'Atiqah, who is 'Abdullah bin Muhammad bin 'Abdul Rahman bin Abi Bakr As-Siddiq. And Muhammad was known by the nickname of Aba 'Atiq."  

اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ السِّوَاكُ مَطْهَرَةٌ لِلْفَمِ مَرْضَاةٌ لِلرَّبِّ وَرَوَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ 137 أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّعْبِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ السَّبِيعِيُّ الْحَافِظُ بِبَغْدَادَ إِمْلَاءً مِنْ حِفْظِهِ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْغَضَائِرِيُّ بِحَلَبَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تَقُولُ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ ابْنُ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ هُوَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ ؓ وَمُحَمَّدٌ يُكْنَى أَبَا عَتِيقٍ وَقَدْ  

[Machine] Thabit ibn Dadah was a nobleman among the Banu Unayf or the Banu Al-Ajlan tribe. When he died, the Prophet ﷺ was asked if he had any heir. However, they could not find anyone to inherit from him. So the Prophet ﷺ passed on his inheritance to his nephew, Abu Lubaba ibn Abdullah. This narration is from Hadith Ar-Rudastani and the Hadith of Abu Abdullah, in which the names of the heir and the inheritor are not mentioned and it is disconnected (chain of narration) 12217. It is also narrated from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Ya'qub ibn Utbah, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban, from his uncle Wasif ibn Habban, from the Prophet ﷺ, that he asked Asim ibn Adi Al-Ansari about Thabit ibn Dadah, and he was informed that he was killed. Do you know if he has any lineage among you? He said, "No, he was just a visitor among us." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ decreed his inheritance to his nephew, and Abu Abdul Rahman As-Sulami informed us, that I am Abu Al-Hasan Al-Karizi, narrating from Ali ibn Abdul Aziz, from Abu Ubaid, from Abbad ibn Abbad, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Ya'qub ibn Utbah, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban, from his uncle Wasif ibn Habban, who raised the narration. This narration is also disconnected. Al-Shafi'i responded to this in Al-Qadim, saying, "Thabit ibn Dadah was killed on the day of Uhud before the establishment of inheritance laws." The Sheikh said, "He was killed on the day of Uhud," according to the narration of Az-Zuhri from Saeed ibn Al-Musayyib.  

أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ الدَّحْدَاحِ كَانَ رَجُلًا أَتِيًّا فِي بَنِي أُنَيْفٍ أَوْ فِي بَنِي الْعَجْلَانِ مَاتَ فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ هَلْ لَهُ وَارِثٌ؟ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُ وَارِثًا فَدَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِيرَاثَهُ إِلَى ابْنِ أُخْتِهِ وَهُوَ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الْأَرْدَسْتَانِيِّ وَحَدِيثُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ مُخْتَصَرًا لَمْ يُسَمِّ الْوَارِثَ وَالْمُوَرَّثَ وَهُوَ مُنْقَطِعٌ 12217 وَرُوِيَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَاصِمَ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ وَتُوُفِّيَ هَلْ تَعْلَمُونَ لَهُ نَسَبًا فِيكُمْ؟ فَقَالَ لَا وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ أَتِيٌّ فِينَا قَالَ فَقَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِمِيرَاثِهِ لِابْنِ أُخْتِهِ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ رَفَعَهُ وَهَذَا أَيْضًا مُنْقَطِعٌ وَقَدْ أَجَابَ عَنْهُ الشَّافِعِيُّ فِي الْقَدِيمِ فَقَالَ ثَابِتُ بْنُ الدَّحْدَاحَةِ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْزِلَ الْفَرَائِضُ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ قَتْلُهُ فِي يَوْمِ أُحُدٍ فِي رِوَايَةِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ  

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said: Loyalty is like a piece of flesh, it cannot be bought or gifted. This is a misconception of Yahya bin Sulaim or someone below him in the chain of narration. The narrators have indeed narrated it from Ubaidullah bin Umar, from Abdullah bin Dinar, from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet ﷺ that he prohibited the sale of loyalty and its gifting. Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, narrated by Abu Abbas Muhammad bin Ya'qub verbally, narrated by Muhammad bin Ishaq al-Saghani, narrated by Shuja' bin al-Walid, narrated by Ubaidullah bin Umar and he mentioned it."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْوَلَاءُ لُحْمَةٌ كَلُحْمَةِ النَّسَبِ لَا يُبَاعُ وَلَا يُوهَبُ هَذَا وَهْمٌ مِنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ أَوْ مَنْ دُونَهُ فِي الْإِسْنَادِ وَالْمَتْنِ جَمِيعًا فَإِنَّ الْحُفَّاظَ إِنَّمَا رَوَوْهُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ 21438 أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ إِمْلَاءً أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَهُ
