62. Chapter
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ forbade patience in the face of oppression and castration of animals. Al-Abbas said, "No one has seen it except the slaves of Allah, and it is strange to them." The Sheikh said, "Thus."
[Machine] The sheikh's saying and the castration of animals is extreme patience, similar to what is forbidden from the patience of the soul, and it is from the saying of Al-Zuhri.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about patience of the soul: Al-Zuhri and Al-Ikhsa' mentioned that it is a strong patience. And so it is.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no castration in Islam, nor the building of churches."
[Machine] He hated castrating animals and would say, "Do not cut off the testicles of Allah's creation. This is the correct way, it is proven and narrated as an elevated saying."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ talked about the castration of camels, cows, sheep, and horses, and said that the growth of the testicles is only in the scrotum, and it is the same for them.
[Machine] In His saying, "And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle" [An-Nisa 119], He means castration of animals.
[Machine] He said, "I mean the natural instinct towards religion."
[Machine] There is no harm in castrating horses, as leaving stallions together would result in them attacking and harming each other. This is also in line with the statements of Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas, as well as the established Sunnah. With the help of Allah, it is possible to accept this if there is a valid purpose for it, as we have heard from the companions and recorded in the book of Al-Dhahaya the sacrifice of the Prophet ﷺ with two rams, which was done for the pleasantness of the meat.
