The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah has cursed the lady who artificially lengthens (her or someone else's) hair and the one who gets her hair lengthened and the One who tattoos (herself or someone else) and the one who gets herself tattooed"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ

(the daughter of Abu Bakr) Messenger of Allah ﷺ has cursed such a lady as artificially lengthening (her or someone else's) hair or gets her hair lengthened.

لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ

The Prophet ﷺ has cursed the lady who lengthens her hair artificially and the one who gets her hair lengthened, and also the lady who tattoos (herself or others) and the one who gets herself tattooed.

لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ

I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, (or the Prophet ﷺ said), "Allah has cursed the lady who practices tattooing and that who gets it done for herself, and also the lady who lengthens hair artificially and that who gets her hair lengthened artificially." The Prophet ﷺ has cursed such ladies.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَوْ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْوَاشِمَةُ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةُ وَالْوَاصِلَةُ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةُ يَعْنِي لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ

The Prophet ﷺ has cursed the lady who lengthens hair artificially and that who gets her hair lengthened in such away, and the lady who practises tattooing and that who gets it done for herself.

لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the woman who adds some false hair and the woman who asks for it, the woman who tattoos and the woman who asks for it.

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ

"The Messenger of Allah cursed the woman who tattoos and the one tattooed, the woman who fixed hair extensions and the one who had her hair get extended, the consumer of Riba and the one who pays it, and Al-Muhallil and Al-Muhallal Lahu."

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةَ وَالْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمَوْصُولَةَ وَآكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَالْمُحَلِّلَ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the woman who affixes hair extensions and the woman who has that done.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the woman who affixes hair extensions and the woman who has that done, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who has that done."

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةَ أَرْسَلَهُ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِشَامٍ

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the woman who affixes hair extensions and the woman who has that done, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who has that done.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the one who consumes Riba, the one who pays it, the one who writes it down and the one who witnesses it; the woman who does tattoos and the woman who has that done"- he said: "Unless it is done as a remedy;" he said: "Yes"- "the man who married a woman in order to divorce her so that she may go back to her first husband and the man (the first husband) for whom that is done; and the one who withholds Sadaqah (Zakah). And he used to forbid wailing (in mourning), but he did not say 'cursed'"

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةَ قَالَ إِلاَّ مِنْ دَاءٍ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَالْحَالُّ وَالْمُحَلَّلُ لَهُ وَمَانِعُ الصَّدَقَةِ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَعَنَ

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the one who consumes Riba, the one who pays it, the one who witnesses it and the one who writes it down; the woman who does tattoos and the woman who has that done; and forbade wailing (in mourning), but he did not say that its doer is cursed."

the Prophet cursed the woman who does hair extensions and the one who has that done, and the woman who does tattoos and the one who has that done.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed ten: the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the one who writes it down, the two who witness it, the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done, the one who withholds zakah, the one who does tattoos and the one for whom tattoos are done.

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَشْرَةً آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَالْحَالَّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ

There is no doubt that it was ‘Ali ؓ - said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, the one who writes it is down, the one who does tattoo the one for whom tattoos are done, the one who marries a woman and is divorces her so that she become permissible for her first husband, the one for whom that is done and the one who withholds zakah. And he forbade wailing.

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا أَشُكُّ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَالْمُحِلِّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ

He said: And he used to forbid wailing (for the deceased).

And he forbade wailing (for the deceased).

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَلْعَنُ الْقَاشِرَةَ وَالْمَقْشُورَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةَ وَالْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُتَّصِلَةَ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ لَعَنَ عَشَرَةً آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَالْمُحَلِّلَ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ

We thought that it was Fajr, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿIt is Asr prayer” - meaning the middle prayer. (Using translation from Aḥmad 990)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ»

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ cursed the one who severs family ties, the one who severs those who are connected, the one who tattoos and the one who gets a tattoo."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُوصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ»

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ cursed the one who severs family ties, the one who maintains severed family ties, the female tattoo artist, and the one who gets tattooed."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُوصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ»

the Prophet cursed the woman who does hair extensions and the one who has that done, and the woman who does tattoos and the one who has that done. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1987)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمَوْصُولَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ»

"The Messenger of Allah cursed the woman who tattoos and the one tattooed, the woman who fixed hair extensions and the one who had her hair get extended, the consumer of Riba and the one who pays it, and Al-Muhallil and Al-Muhallal Lahu." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3416)

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the woman who affixes hair extensions and the one who has that done, and the woman who does tattoos and the one who has that done." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5251)

«لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمَوْصُولَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ»

[AI] "That the Prophet (PBUH) prohibited the practice of 'wasilah' and 'mosulah'."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الْوَاصِلَةِ وَالْمَوْصُولَةِ»

[AI] "That the Prophet, ﷺ , cursed the one who severs family ties and the one who maintains severed family ties."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُتَوَاصِلَةَ»

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ cursed the one who connects and the one who asks for a connection. Chapter.

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ» بَابٌ

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ cursed the one who severs family ties and the one who joins severed family ties."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»

"The Messenger of Allah cursed the woman who tattoos and the one tattooed, the woman who fixed hair extensions and the one who had her hair get extended, the consumer of Riba and the one who pays it, and Al-Muhallil and Al-Muhallal Lahu." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3416)

Ibn ‘Awn said: Except in the case of illness? He said: Yes. [And he continued:]... the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done, and the one who withholds zakah. And he forbade wailing (for the dead). He did not say curse. I said: Who told you? He said: al-Harith al-A’war al-Hamdani. (Using translation from Aḥmad 1120)

«لَعَنَ مُحَمَّدٌ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةُ وَالْمُتَوَشِّمَةُ» قَالَ قُلْتُ «إِلَّا مِنْ دَاءٍ» قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَالْمُحَلِّلُ وَالْمُحَلَّلُ لَهُ وَمَانِعُ الصَّدَقَةِ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَعَنَ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, the one who writes it down, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who gets tattoos done for adornment, the one who withholds zakah, the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done, And he forbade wailing (for the deceased). لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَالْمُحَلِّلَ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ وَنَهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ وَلَمْ يَلْعَنْ صَاحِبَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who practices "Wasilah" (seeking intercession through a person or object) and the one who practices "Mutasilah" (offering intercession), the tattooer and the one who is tattooed, the eater of interest (usury) and the one who feeds it to others, the one who makes a forbidden thing lawful and the one who does it for him. This is the narration of Abu Nuaym, and in the narration of Al-Zubayri, he added (cursed) the one who has been marked, and he said "the one who marks" and "the one who feeds it".

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُوْتَصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةَ وَآكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُؤْكِلَهُ وَالْمُحَلِّلَ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ الزُّبَيْرِيِّ الْمَوْشُومَةَ وَقَالَ الْمَوْصُولَةَ وَقَالَ مُطْعِمَهُ

"لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ والْمُسْتَوصلَةَ والْوَاشِمَةَ والمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ".

"لَعَنَ اللهُ آكِلَ الرِّبَا، وَمُوكلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيه، وَكَاتبَهُ وَالْوَاشمَةَ، وَالمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ، وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ، وَالْمُحِلَّ، وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ".

"عن عَلِىٍّ قالَ: لَعَن رسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَشَرَة: آكِلَ الرِّبَا، ومُوكِلهُ، وشَاهِدَيْه، وَكاتِبه، والواشِمة والمُسْتَوشِمَة للِحُسْنِ، ومانعَ الصَّدقَةِ، والمُحِلَّ، والمُحلَّل لهُ، وَكانَ يَنهى عَن النَّوْح وَلمَ يقُل لَعنَ".

"عَنْ أبِي أُمَامَةَ أنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَر الوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمَوصُولَة وَالْوَاشِمَةَ والْمَوْشُومَةَ".

"عَنْ أبِي هُرْيَرةَ قَالَ: لَعَنَ رسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكَل الرِّبَا، ومُوكِلَهُ، وكَاتِبه، وَشاهِدَهُ وَهُو يَعْلَمُ، والْمُحَلِّلَ، والْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ".

"عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: لَعَنَ رسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الواصِلة والموْصُولَة، وَفِي لَفْظٍ والموتَصلَةَ، والواشمة والمُسْتَوشِمةَ".
