[AI] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have had no contact with my family since the date harvest. The date palm, when it is pruned, stays without water for forty days. I found a man with my wife and her husband appeared to be pale, with disheveled hair. And the man who resembled the one she was accused with had curly hair and a dark complexion." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicated to Allah for clarification, and then cursed both of them. Then a man who resembled the one she was accused with was brought to them.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا لِي عَهْدٌ بِأَهْلِي مُنْذُ عَفَارِ النَّخْلِ قَالَ وَعَفَارُ النَّخْلِ أَنَّهَا إِذَا كَانَتْ تُؤْبَرُ تُعْفَرُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا لَا تُسْقَى بَعْدَ الْإِبَارِ فَوَجَدْتُ مَعَ امْرَأَتِي رَجُلًا وَكَانَ زَوْجُهَا مُصْفَرًّا حَمْشًا سَبْطَ الشَّعْرِ وَالَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ خَدْلٌ إِلَى السَّوَادِ جَعْدٌ قَطَطٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ ثُمَّ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَجَاءَتْ بِرَجُلٍ يُشْبِهُ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I have no relationship with my family since the time of burying and fertilizing the date palm trees for forty days, during which they are not watered after being fertilized." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then I found a man with my wife, and her husband was pale and had curly hair. By the One whom I bear witness with, a man who has kinky hair spread across his temples is cursed." Then, they brought a child who resembles the one the man was suspected with.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا لِي عَهْدٌ بِأَهْلِي مُنْذُ عَفَارِ النَّخْلِ أَوْ عِقَارِهِ قَالَ وَعَفَارُ النَّخْلِ أَوْ عِقَارُهَا أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُؤَبَّرُ ثُمَّ تُعْفَرُ أَوْ تُعْقَرُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا لَا تُسْقَى بَعْدَ الْإِبَارِ قَالَ فَوَجَدْتُرَجُلًا مَعَ امْرَأَتِي وَكَانَ زَوْجُهَا مُصْفَرًّا حَمْشًا سَبْطَ الشَّعْرِ وَالَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ رَجُلٌ خَدْلٌ إِلَى السَّوَادِ جَعْدٌ قَطَطٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ ثُمَّ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَجَاءَتْ بِوَلَدٍ يُشْبِهُ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah cursed a man and his wife who had committed adultery. They were tied together. The husband said, "By Allah, I have not approached her since we renovated the palm tree." The renovation of the palm tree refers to watering the palm tree after leaving it without water for two months. The Messenger of Allah then said, "O Allah, reveal the truth." It was claimed that the woman's husband had a forearm and legs with reddish hair. The person who was accused was the son of As-Sahmah. The woman then brought a black boy with curly hair and leg bracelets.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَ الْعَجْلَانِيِّ وَامْرَأَتِهِ وَكَانَتْ حُبْلَى وَقَالَ زَوْجُهَا وَاللهِ مَا قَرِبْتُهَا مُنْذُ عَفَرْنَا النَّخْلَ الْعَفْرُ سَقْيُ النَّخْلِ بَعْدَ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ مِنَ السَّقْيِ مِنَ الْأَبْيَارِ لِشَهْرَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ» وَزَعَمُوا أَنَّ زَوْجَ الْمَرْأَةِ كَانَ حَمْشَ الذِّرَاعَيْنِ وَالسَّاقَيْنِ أَصْهَبَ الشَّعْرَةِ وَكَانَ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ ابْنَ السَّحْمَاءِ قَالَتْ فَجَاءَتْ بِغُلَامٍ أَسْوَدَ أَجْلَى جَعْدٍ قَطَطٍ عَبْلِ الذِّرَاعَيْنِ خَدَلَّجِ السَّاقَيْنِ

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I have not had any intimate relations with my wife since the palm trees were barren and their leaves turned yellow. They used to be covered and then uncovered for forty days, and they were not watered until after uncovering. I found a man with my wife, and her husband has yellow hair that is curly and a mark on his face that stretches from white to black, and he has curly hair on his chest." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, make it clear, O Allah, make it clear." Then they cursed each other. Afterwards, she came with a child who resembled the man she was accused with.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا لِي عَهْدٌ بِأَهْلِي مُنْذُ عِفَارِ النَّخْلِ وَعِفَارُهَا أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُؤَبَّرُ ثُمَّ تُعْفَرُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا لَا تُسْقَى بَعْدَ الْإِبَارِ فَوَجَدْتُ رَجُلًا مَعَ امْرَأَتِي وَكَانَ زَوْجُهَا مُصْفَرًّا حَمْشًا سَبْطَ الشَّعْرَةِ وَالَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ خَدْلٌ إِلَى السَّوَادِ جَعْدٌ قَطَطٌ مُسْتَهٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ» ثُمَّ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَجَاءَتْ بِوَلَدٍ يُشْبِهُ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ

[AI] He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have no covenant with my family since the season of pollinating the palm trees." He said, "And its pollinating is that when it is pollinated, it is not irrigated for forty days after pollination." He said, "So I found a man with my wife, and her husband was fair-skinned, with thick calves, hairless, and the one who was thrown with him is black, curly-haired, short, and hairy." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, make the truth clear, then curse the liar between them." Then a person resembling the man who was accused came.

جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَاللهِ مَالِي عَهْدٌ بِأَهْلِي مُنْذُ عَفَارِ النَّخْلِ قَالَ وَعَفَارُهَا أَنَّهَا إِذَا كَانَتْ تُؤَبَّرُ تُعْفَرُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا لَا تُسْقَى بَعْدَ الْإِبَّارِ قَالَ فَوَجَدْتُ مَعَ امْرَأَتِي رَجُلًا قَالَ وَكَانَ زَوْجُهَا مُصْفَرًّا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ سَبِطَ الشَّعْرِ وَالَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ خَدْلًا إِلَى السَّوَادِ جَعْدًا قَطَطًا مُسْتَهًا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ ثُمَّ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَجَاءَ شَبِيهًا بِالرَّجُلِ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ

[AI] Allah cursed the man between the two camels and his wife who was pregnant. Her husband said, "By Allah, I have not come near her since we flocked the palm trees." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The 'afar' (period of not watering the date palm) is to water the palm trees after leaving them without water for two months." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then supplicated and called to the husband of the woman, "May her arms and legs be discolored with gold-like hair." The one who was accused of impregnating Al-Sahma'a (the woman) came with a young boy who was black, with bleary eyes, having curly hair that reached his elbows and thick calves. Al-Qasim, the son of Shaddad bin Al-Had, asked Ibn Abbas, "Is this the woman about whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If I were to stone anyone without clear proof, I would have stoned her'?" Ibn Abbas replied, "This is not a woman who concealed evil in Islam." Ibn Abi Al-Zinad narrated it from his father with his Isanad (chain of narrators), from Abu Al-Zinad from his father, with this Tafsir (interpretation). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the man between the two camels and his wife who was pregnant. Her husband said, "By Allah, I have not come near her since we flocked the palm trees." He mentioned the Tafsir (interpretation) of "Afar." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then supplicated and they claimed that the husband of the woman had golden-colored hair. He mentioned it in a different way, except that he said, "It turned tawny (golden-brown) instead of black." He added some other details. Ibn Khuzaymah narrated it, as well as Al-Rabi' bin Sulayman, who said, "I am the son of Wahb. Ibn Abi Al-Zinad narrated it from his father, from Abu Al-Zinad, from his father. Al-Qasim bin Muhammad narrated it from Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, and he mentioned it."

اللهِ ﷺ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَ الْعَجْلَانِيِّ وَامْرَأَتِهِ وَكَانَتْ حَامِلًا فَقَالَ زَوْجُهَا وَاللهِ مَا قَرَبْتُهَا مُنْذُ عَفَرْنَا قَالَ وَالْعَفْرُ أَنْ يُسْقَى النَّخْلُ بَعْدَ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ مِنَ السَّقْيِ بَعْدَ الْإِبَّارِ شَهْرَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ زَوْجَ الْمَرْأَةِ حَمْشَ الذِّرَاعَيْنِ وَالسَّاقَيْنِ أَصْهَبَ الشَّعْرِ وَكَانَ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ ابْنَ السَّحْمَاءِ فَجَاءَتْ بِغُلَامٍ أَسْوَدَ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا عَبْلَ الذِّرَاعَيْنِ خَدْلَ السَّاقَيْنِ قَالَ الْقَاسِمُ قَالَ ابْنُ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَهِيَ الْمَرْأَةُ الَّتِي قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْ كُنْتُ رَاجِمًا أَحَدًا بِغَيْرِ بَيِّنَةٍ لَرَجَمْتُهَا ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ لَا تِلْكَ امْرَأَةٌ أَعْلَنَتِ السُّوءَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَ الْعَجْلَانِيِّ وَامْرَأَتِهِ وَكَانَتْ حُبْلَى وَقَالَ زَوْجُهَا وَاللهِ مَا قَرَبْتُهَا مُنْذُ عَفَرْنَا النَّخْلَ وَذَكَرَ تَفْسِيرَ الْعَفْرِ وَقَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اللهُمَّ بَيِّنْ وَزَعَمُوا أَنَّ زَوْجَ الْمَرْأَةِ كَانَ حَمْشَ الذِّرَاعَيْنِ فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَجْلَى بَدَلَ أَكْحَلَ وَزَادَ قَطَطًا قَالَ ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ نا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ فَذَكَرَهُ

"عَنِ الْقَاسِم بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِىَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: مَا لِىَ عَهْدٌ بِأَهْلِى مُذْ عَفَّارِ النَّخْلِ، فَوَجَدْتُ رَجُلًا مَعَ امْرَأَتِى، وَكَانَ زَوْجهَا مُصْفَرًا حَمْشًا سَبْطَ الشَّعَرِ، وَالَّذى رُمِيتْ بِهِ خَدْلَج إِلَى السَّوَادِ، جَعْدًا قَطَطًا مُسْتَهِمًا، فَقَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ : اللَّهُمَّ بَيِّنْ، ثُمَّ لاَعَنَ بَيْنَهُمَا، فَجَاءَتْ بِوَلَدٍ يُشْبِهُ الَّذى رُمِيَتْ بِهِ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ شَدَّادِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ لابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَهِىَ الْمَرْأَةُ الَّتِى قَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : لَوْ كُنْتُ رَاجِمًا بِغَيْرِ بَيِّنةٍ لَرَجَمْتُهَا؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: لاَ، تِلْكَ امْرَأَةٌ كَانَتْ أَعْلَنَتْ فِى الإسْلاَمِ".
