[Machine] "A witty person, so I agreed to it, and my Lord, blessed and exalted is He, promised me three qualities that every quality of them is more beloved to me than the entire world. Allah says, 'Those who, when disaster strikes them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we will return.' Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.' [Al-Baqarah 157]. So I agreed to it after this." Thabit said, and Muttarrif said, "There is nothing that I have been given in the Hereafter the like of the amount of a sip of water except that I desire it to be taken from me in this world."

[Machine] That Mutarrif used to say, "Indeed, I am in greater need of the congregation than a widow. For when I am in the congregation, I become aware of my sins."
[Machine] "Which one of us is there? May the devil wish that you had taken it from him, and he did not order anyone for good or prohibit anyone from evil."
[Machine] I heard Abu Alaa say, "When a man comes to a people and they greet him with 'Marhaban', then 'Marhaban' to him on the day he meets his Lord. And when they see him and say to him 'Qahtan', then 'Qahtan' to him on the day he meets his Lord."

[Machine] "So he continued on until he reached the graves, and then he alighted from his horse. He said, 'I saw the people of the graves, every owner of a grave sitting on his grave.' They said, 'This is Mudarrif who comes on Fridays.' He said, 'Do you know what day Friday is?' They said, 'Yes, and we know what the birds say on it.' He said, 'And what do the birds say?' They said, 'They say, "Peace, peace from a righteous day."'"

[Machine] "So he was telling stories in his house when Al-Hajjaj arrived in Basra and he was telling stories in his house."

He said, "The son of Ghaleb hardly ever speaks except to say, 'Glory be to Allah, all praise is for Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the greatest.' And he sends blessings upon our master Muhammad. If he is asked about something, he answers and then returns to this speech."
[Machine] And he used to pray between Dhuhr and Asr, and between Maghrib and Isha, glorifying Allah abundantly. As for the night, I say to you: Wake up, O your mother!
