[AI] A man asked him about Hajj, and he said: "Hajj is the day of Arafat—or Arafah. Whoever reaches the night of Jam before he prays Fajr has caught Hajj. The days of Mina are three days. Whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin upon him, and whoever delays, there is no sin upon him."

وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنِ الْحَجِّ، فَقَالَ: «الْحَجُّ يَوْمُ عَرَفَاتٍ أَوْ عَرَفَةَ، مَنْ أَدْرَكَ لَيْلَةَ جَمْعٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الصُّبْحَ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الْحَجَّ، أَيَّامُ مِنًى ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ، فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ، وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ»

[Machine] I heard Abdullah bin Yamar Al-Dili saying that the Prophet ﷺ was asked about Hajj, and he said, "Hajj is Arafat, or he said Arafah. And whoever reaches the night of Al-Jam' before Fajr prayer has indeed reached it." And he said, "The days of Mina are three days. So whoever hastens [the departure] in two days, there is no sin upon him. And whoever delays, there is no sin upon him." [Al-Baqarah 203]

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Hajj is 'Arafat, the Hajj is 'Arafat, the Hajj is 'Arafat. The days of Mina are three: But whoever hastens to leave in two days, there is no sin on him, and whoever stays on, there is no sin on him (2:203). And whoever sees (attends) the 'Arafah before the rising of Fajr, then he has performed the Hajj." Ibn Abi 'Umar said: "Sufyan bin 'Uyainah said: 'This is the best Hadith that Ath-Thawri reported.'" [Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Hajj is Arafat, so whoever reaches Arafat on the night of the Day of Assembly before dawn breaks has indeed reached the days of Mina for three days. And whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin upon him, and whoever delays, there is no sin upon him." Ibn 'Uyaynah said, "So I said to Sufyan Ath-Thawri, 'Do you not have a more honored and better hadith than this in Al-Kufah?'"

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Hajj is Arafat, Hajj is Arafat. Whoever reaches the night of Jam' (i.e. staying in Mina) before Fajr (dawn), he has completed three days of Mina. So whoever hastens (his departure) in two days, there is no sin upon him. And whoever stays behind, there is no sin upon him." [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:203] Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah said, "I said to Sufyan ath-Thawri, 'Do you not have a hadith in Kufa that is more honorable and better than this?'"

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing at Arafat, then some people from the people of Najd approached him and asked him about Hajj. He said, "Hajj is on the day of Arafat. Whoever reaches it before the dawn prayer has indeed performed Hajj and completed the days of Mina, which are three days of Tashreeq. And whoever delays, there is no sin upon him." [Al-Baqarah 203]
