[Machine] "Whoever reads the Quran, let him learn the obligations, for if he meets an Arab, and the Arab asks, 'Do you read the Quran?' If he says 'Yes,' then he asks, 'Do you fulfill the obligations?' If he says 'Yes,' then it is something additional and good. But if he says 'No,' then the Arab asks, 'What is your superiority over me, O emigrant?'"  

مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلْيَتَعَلَّمِ الْفَرَائِضَ فَإِنْ لَقِيَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ قَالَ يَا مُهَاجِرُ أَتَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ؟ فَإِنْ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ تَفْرِضُ؟ فَإِنْ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَهُوَ زِيَادَةٌ وَخَيْرٌ وَإِنْ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَمَا فَضْلُكَ عَلَيَّ يَا مُهَاجِرُ  

[Machine] Whoever among you reads the Quran should learn the obligatory acts, for if he meets an Arab, the Arab will say, "O immigrant, do you read the Quran?" And he will say, "Yes." The Arab will then say, "And I read the Quran." The Arab will then ask, "Do you perform the obligatory acts, O immigrant?" If he replies "Yes," the Arab will say, "An increase is better." And if he replies "No," the Arab will say, "Then what has made you superior, O immigrant?"  

مَنْ قَرَأَ مِنْكُمُ الْقُرْآنَ فَلْيَتَعَلَّمِ الْفَرَائِضَ فَإِنْ لَقِيَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ قَالَ يَا مُهَاجِرُ أَتَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ؟ فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ فَيَقُولُ وَأَنَا أَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ فَيَقُولُ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ أَتَفْرِضُ يَا مُهَاجِرُ؟ فَإِنْ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ زِيَادَةُ خَيْرٍ وَإِنْ قَالَ لَا حَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ فَمَا فَضَّلَكَ عَلَيَّ يَا مُهَاجِرُ  

[Machine] Abdullah said, "Whoever learns the Quran should also learn the obligatory acts of worship. For if he meets a Bedouin and the Bedouin asks him, 'Do you recite the Quran?' and he answers, 'Yes,' then the Bedouin asks him, 'Do you fulfill its obligations?' and he answers, 'Yes,' then the Bedouin says, 'What is your superiority over me?'"  

قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلْيَتَعَلَّمِ الْفَرَائِضَ؛ فَإِنْ لَقِيَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ قَالَ يَا مُهَاجِرُ أَتَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَأَنَا أَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنْ قَالَ تُفْرِضُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ وَإِنْ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَمَا فَضْلُكَ عَلَيَّ؟  

[Machine] Whoever reads the Quran should learn the obligatory acts and should not be like a bedouin man who says, "O emigrant, do you read the Quran?". If he says, "Yes", he should ask, "If someone from my family dies, should I fulfill their obligation?". If he tells him, it is knowledge that he has been taught and an increase that Allah has given him. Otherwise, he should say, "Why do you consider yourselves better than us, O emigrants?"  

مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلْيَتَعَلَّمِ الْفَرَائِضَ وَلَا يَكُنْ كَرَجُلٍ لَقِيَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَيَقُولُ يَا مُهَاجِرُ أَتَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ؟ فَإِنْ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَإِنَّ إِنْسَانًا مِنْ أَهْلِي مَاتَ فَتَقُصُّ فَرِيضَتَهُ؟ فَإِنْ حَدَّثَهُ فَهُوَ عِلْمٌ عُلِّمَهُ وَزِيَادَةٌ زَادَهُ اللهُ وَإِلَّا قَالَ فَبِمَا تَفْضُلُونَنَا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ؟
