[Machine] I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and a man among the people sneezed. So I said, "May Allah have mercy on you" or "May Allah have mercy on all of you." Then the people stared at me, so I said, "May my mother and father be sacrificed for me" (a common Arabic expression of confusion or surprise), then they began hitting their thighs with their hands. I realized that the people were trying to silence me with their eyes. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer, I have never seen a teacher who was more gentle in teaching than him, neither before nor after him. He did not scold, reproach, or insult me. He said, "In this prayer, there is no place for people's speech. It is only for glorifying Allah, declaring His greatness, and reciting the Quran." "And Ayyub did not mention 'Ata' ibn Yasar in his narration."
