نَصْرُ بْنُ شُفَيٍّ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ forbade cutting off the tails of horses, as well as their manes and forelocks. As for the tails, they are their beautification, and as for the forelocks, they are their protection, and as for the manes, goodness is intertwined in them.  

الطبراني:١٤٤٤٨حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ شُفَيٍّ عَنْ شَيْخٍ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ جَزِّ أَذْنَابِ الْخَيْلِ وَنَوَاصِيِهَا وأَعْرافِها فَأَمَّا أَذْنَابُهَا فَإِنَّهَا مَذَابُّهَا وَأَمَّا أَعْرَافُهَا فَإِنَّهَا إِدْفَاؤُهَا وَأَمَّا نَوَاصِيهَا فَإِنَّ الْخَيْرَ مَعْقُودٌ فِيهَا»
