" نَهَى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ عَنْ جَزّ ذِنَابِ الخَيلِ وَأعْرَافِهَا وَنَواصِيهَا، وَقَالَ: أَمَّا أَعرَافُهَا فَإِنَّها أَدْفَاؤُهَا، وَأَمَّا أَذْنَابُهُا فَإِنَّهَا مَذَابُهَا، وَأَمَّا نَوَاصِيهَا فَإنَّ الْخَيْر مَعْقُودُ فِى نَواصِيهَا".

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the trimming of horse's tails, their feathers, and their forelocks. He said, "Their tails are their fly whisks, their feathers are their armor, and their forelocks are tied with blessings until the Day of Judgment."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ forbade cutting off the forelocks of horses, cutting off their tails, and cutting off their manes. He said, "As for their tails, they are their flies swatters. As for their forelocks, they are their beauty. And as for their manes, they are where goodness is tied."
