سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَزْدِيُّ

that he asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Give me ˹some˺ advise." He said, "I advise you to be modest in front of Allah ﷻ just as you show modesty in front of a righteous man among your people."  

الطبراني:٥٥٣٩ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَزْدِيِّ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَوْصِنِي قَالَ «أُوصِيكَ أَنْ تَسْتَحِيَ مِنَ اللهِ ﷻ كَمَا تَسْتَحِي مِنَ الرَّجُلِ الصَّالِحِ مِنْ قَوْمِكَ»  

Have shyness in front of Allah just like you would be shy in front of good people
