السيوطي:٤٢٠-٣٥٨b –

"عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمَ الحُدَيْبيَة: يَرْحَمُ الله المُحَلِّقينَ، قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ الله، وَالمُقَصِّرِينَ؟ قَالَ: يَرْحَمُ الله المُحَلِّقِينً ثَلاثا، قَالُوا: وَالمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ الله، قَالَ: وَالمُقَصِّرينَ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ الله، مَا بَالُ المُحَلِّقِينَ ظَاهَرْتَ لَهُمُ التَّرَحُّمَ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَشُكُّوا".

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah! Be merciful to those who have their head shaved." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! And (invoke Allah for) those who get their hair cut short." The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah! Be merciful to those who have their head shaved." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! And those who get their hair cut short." The Prophet ﷺ said (the third time), "And to those who get their hair cut short." Nafiʿ said that the Prophet ﷺ had said once or twice, "O Allah! Be merciful to those who get their head shaved," and on the fourth time he added, "And to those who have their hair cut short."  

البخاري:١٧٢٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ

May Allah have mercy upon those who have got their heads shaved. They said: Messenger of Allah, (what about) those who got their hair clipped? He said: May Allah have mercy upon those who got their hair shaved. They said: Messenger of Allah, (what about) those who got their hair clipped? He said: (O Allah, have mercy upon) those who got their hair clipped.

malik:20-196 – Yaḥyá > Mālik > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, have mercy on those who shave their hair." They said, "And those who shorten (their hair), Messenger of Allah." He said, "O Allah, have mercy on those who shave." They said, "And those who shorten, Messenger of Allah." He said, "And those who shorten."  

مالك:٢٠-١٩٦ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمِ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ قَالُوا وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمِ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ قَالُوا وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ

[Machine] "Men shaved their heads on the day of Hudaybiyyah, while others trimmed their hair. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'May Allah have mercy on those who shaved.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what about those who trimmed?' He said, 'May Allah have mercy on those who shaved.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what about those who trimmed?' He said, 'May Allah have mercy on those who shaved.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what about those who trimmed?' He said, 'And those who trimmed.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, why is it that mercy is apparent for those who shaved?' He said, 'Because they did not express any doubt.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned away."  

أحمد:٣٣١١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

حَلَقَ رِجَالٌ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَقَصَّرَ آخَرُونَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْحَمُ اللهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ؟ قَالَ يَرْحَمُ اللهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ قَالَ يَرْحَمُ اللهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ؟ قَالَ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ قَالُوا فَمَا بَالُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ظَاهَرْتَ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَةَ؟ قَالَ لَمْ يَشُكُّوا قَالَ فَانْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "May Allah have mercy upon those who shave their heads." They asked, "What about those who trim their hair?" He replied, "May Allah have mercy upon those who trim their hair as well."  

أحمد:٢٣٢٣٢ – حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ قَالَتْ
