The Prophet ﷺ said, "If while you are praying, somebody intends to pass in front of you, prevent him; and should he insist, prevent him again; and if he insists again, fight with him (i.e. prevent him violently e.g. pushing him violently), because such a person is (like) a devil."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا مَرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ أَحَدِكُمْ شَىْءٌ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلْيَمْنَعْهُ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيَمْنَعْهُ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ

When any one of you prays he should not let anyone pass in front of him (if there is no sutra), and should try to turn him away as far as possible, but if he refuses to go, he should turn him away forcibly for he is a devil.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلاَ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلْيَدْرَأْهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ

When any one of you prays, he should not allow anyone to pass before him, and if he refuses, he should be then forcibly resisted, for there is a devil with him.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلاَ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّ مَعَهُ الْقَرِينَ

When one of you prays, he should not let anyone pass in front of him; he should turn him away as far as possible; but if he refuses (to go), he should fight him, for he is only a devil.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلاَ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلْيَدْرَأْهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ

I narrate what I witnesses from Abu Sa'id and heard from him. Abu Sa'id entered upon Marwan and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: When one of you prays facing any object which conceals him from people, and someone wishes to pass in front of him, he should strike him at his chest; if he refuses (to go), he should fight him; he is only a devil. Abu Dawud said: Sufyan Ath-Thawri said: "A person arrogantly walks in front of me while I am praying, so I stop him, and a weak person passes, so I dont stop him."

أَبُو صَالِحٍ أُحَدِّثُكَ عَمَّا رَأَيْتُ مِنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَسَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ دَخَلَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ عَلَى مَرْوَانَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى شَىْءٍ يَسْتُرُهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَأَرَادَ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَجْتَازَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَلْيَدْفَعْ فِي نَحْرِهِ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ

It was narrated from Abu Saeed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: " If anyone of you is praying, he should not let anyone pass in front of him, and if he insists (on passing) then let him fight him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلاَ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا أَنْ يَمُرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘When anyone of you performs prayer, let him pray facing towards a Sutrah, and let him get close to it, and not let anyone pass in front of him. If someone comes and wants to pass in front of him, let him fight him, for he is a Shaitan (satan).’”

رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُصَلِّ إِلَى سُتْرَةٍ وَلْيَدْنُ مِنْهَا وَلاَ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَإِنْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ يَمُرَّ فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّهُ شَيْطَانٌ

“When anyone of you is performing prayer, he should not let anyone pass in front of him. If he insists then let him fight him, for he has a Qarin (devil-companion) with him.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلاَ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّ مَعَهُ الْقَرِينَ وَقَالَ الْمُنْكَدِرِيُّ فَإِنَّ مَعَهُ الْعُزَّى

It was narrated from Abu Saeed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: " If anyone of you is praying, he should not let anyone pass in front of him, and if he insists (on passing) then let him fight him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 757)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلَا يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you stands up to pray, do not let anyone pass in front of him. And if he refuses, let him fight him, for indeed he is a devil."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلَا يَتْرُكْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: When someone intends to pass between you and your cloth (i.e. praying area), push him away. And if he refuses, then repel him forcefully. And if he still refuses, then fight him for he is indeed a devil.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَمُرَّ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ سُتْرَتِكَ أَحَدٌ فَارْدُدْهُ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَادْفَعْهُ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When one of you prays, he should put something in front of him to shield himself from people. If someone intends to pass between his hands, let him push him in his throat. If he refuses, let him fight him, as he is a devil."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ قَالَ بَهْزٌ إِلَى شَيْءٍ يَسْتُرُهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَأَرَادَ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَجْتَازَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَلْيَدْفَعْ فِي نَحْرِهِ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Abd ar- Rahman ibn Abi Said al-Khudri from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not let anyone pass in front of you when you are praying. Repel him as much as you can, and, if he refuses, fight him, for he is only a shaytan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلاَ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلْيَدْرَأْهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Do not pray except behind a barrier, and do not let anyone pass in front of you. If they insist, then fight them, for with them is a devil."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تُصَلُّوا إِلَّا إِلَى سُتْرَةٍ وَلَا تَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّ مَعَهُ الْقَرِينَ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Do not pray except towards a barrier and do not let anyone pass in front of you. And if they refuse, fight against them for they are only Satan."

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not offer prayer except towards a screen, and do not let anyone pass in front of you during prayer. If they refuse, then fight them, for indeed, they have a devil with them."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تُصَلُّوا إِلَّا إِلَى سُتْرَةٍ وَلَا يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّ مَعَهُ الْقَرِينَ»

"إذَا أراد أحدٌ أنْ يَمُرَّ بين يديك وبين سُتْرتك - فارددْه، فإنْ أبَى فادْفعْه فإنْ أبى فقاتْله، فإنّما هو شيطانٌ".

"إِذَا صلَّى أحدُكم إلى شيءٍ يستُره من الناسِ فأرادَ (أحدٌ) أن يجتازَ بين يديه، فليدْفعهْ، فإِنْ أبى فليقاتلْه (فإِنما هو) شيطانٌ".

"إذا صلَّى أحدُكم فليُصلِّ إلى سُترةٍ ولْيَدْنُ منها، ولا يدعْ أحدًا يمرُّ بين يديه فإِنْ جاء أحدٌ يمرُ فليقاتلْه فإِنّه شيطانٌ" .

"إذا كانَ أحدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فلا يَدعْ أحدًا يَمرّ بين يديه، فإِنْ أبَى فليقاتِله، فإِنَّ معَه القرينَ".

"إذَا مرَّ بين يدَي أحدِكُمْ شيءٌ وهُوَ يُصلِّي فليَمْنَعْهُ مرتَّين، فإِنْ أبَى فَليُقَاتِلهُ، فإِنما هُوَ شيطانٌ".

"لَا تُصَلُّوا إلا إِلَى سُتْرَةٍ، وَلَا تَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَينَ يَدَيكَ، فَإِنْ أَبَى فَقَاتِلْهُ، فَإِنَّ مَعَهُ القَرِينَ".
