I heard Ribʿi say: I heard ‘Ali ؓ say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿDo not tell lies about me, for whoever tells lies about me will enter the Fire.”  

أحمد:٦٢٩ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رِبْعِيًّا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَكْذِبُوا عَلَيَّ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يَكْذِبْ عَلَيَّ يَلِجِ النَّارَ
