While in menses, I used to comb the hair of Messenger of Allah ﷺ .

كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

The Prophet ﷺ and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were Junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an Izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to fondle me. While in Iʿtikaf, he used to bring his head near me and I would wash it while I used to be in my periods (menses).

كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ كِلاَنَا جُنُبٌ وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُنِي فَأَتَّزِرُ فَيُبَاشِرُنِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَكَانَ يُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ إِلَىَّ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

The Prophet ﷺ used to (put) bend his head (out) to me while he was in Iʿtikaf in the mosque during my monthly periods and I would comb and oil his hair.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصْغِي إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ وَهْوَ مُجَاوِرٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

(the wife of the Prophet) Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to let his head in (the house) while he was in the mosque and I would comb and oil his hair. When in Iʿtikaf he used not to enter the house except for a need.

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ ؓ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ وَإِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَيُدْخِلُ عَلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ وَهْوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَكَانَ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلاَّ لِحَاجَةٍ إِذَا كَانَ مُعْتَكِفًا

The Prophet ﷺ used to embrace me during my menses. He also used to put his head out of the mosque while he was in Iʿtikaf, and I would wash it during my menses.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُبَاشِرُنِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَكَانَ يُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهْوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in I'tikaf, he inclined his head towards me and I combedhis hair, and he did not enter the house but for the natural calls (for relieving himself).

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا اعْتَكَفَ يُدْنِي إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَكَانَ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلاَّ لِحَاجَةِ الإِنْسَانِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ put out from the mosque his head for me as he was in I'tikaf, and I washed it in the state that I was menstruating.

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُخْرِجُ إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ مُجَاوِرٌ فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ inclined his head towards me (from the mosque) while I was in my apartment and I combed it in a state of menstruation.

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُدْنِي إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ وَأَنَا فِي حُجْرَتِي فَأُرَجِّلُ رَأْسَهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

I used to wash the head of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, while I was in a state of menstruation.

كُنْتُ أَغْسِلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed I'tikaf, he would put his head near me, and I would comb it. and he entered the house only to fulfill human needs (i.e. to urinate or to relieve himself).

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اعْتَكَفَ يُدْنِي إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَكَانَ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلاَّ لِحَاجَةِ الإِنْسَانِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe I'tikaf in the mosque and put his head near me through the opening of the apartment, and I would wash his head. Musaddad said: "And I would comb it while I was menstruating."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَكُونُ مُعْتَكِفًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَيُنَاوِلُنِي رَأْسَهُ مِنْ خَلَلِ الْحُجْرَةِ فَأَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"When the Messenger of Allah performed I'tikaf, he would bring his head near me so I could comb it, and he would not enter the house except for some personal needs."

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اعْتَكَفَ أَدْنَى إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَكَانَ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلاَّ لِحَاجَةِ الإِنْسَانِ

"The Prophet ﷺ would put his head out while he was in I'tikaf and I would wash it, while I was menstruating."

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُومِئُ إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"The Prophet ﷺ would put his head out for me while he was performing I'tikaf [1] and I would wash it, when I was menstruating." [1] Mujawir ("next door") here means while performing I'tikaf.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُخْرِجُ إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ مُجَاوِرٌ فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"I used to comb the hair of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when I was menstruating."

كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to put his head out of the Masjid while he was performing I'tikaf, and I would wash it, while I was menstruating."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"I used to comb the hair of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was menstruating."

كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"The Prophet used to bring his head close to me when I was menstruaring and he was in I'tikaf (seclusion in a mosques for the purpose of worship), and I would wash it and comb his hair."

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُدْنِي رَأْسَهُ إِلَىَّ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَهُوَ مُجَاوِرٌ تَعْنِي مُعْتَكِفًا فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأُرَجِّلُهُ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to bring his head towards me when he was next door (observing I’tikaf), and I would wash it and comb his hair, when I was in my apartment and I was menstruating, and he was in the mosque.”

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُدْنِي إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ مُجَاوِرٌ فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَأَنَا فِي حُجْرَتِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ

"I used to comb the hair of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when I was menstruating." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 277)

«كُنْتُ أَغْسِلُ رَأْسَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ»

[AI] I used to wash the head of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was in a state of menstruation, and he was in I'tikaf.

«لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أَغْسِلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَهُوَ عَاكِفٌ»

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ فَيُخْرِجُ إِلَيَّ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sit next to me in the mosque and lean his head towards me, so I would push him away while I was menstruating.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُجَاوِرُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَيُصْغِي إِلَيَّ رَأْسَهُ ﷺ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

[AI] He used to ask me to put on my clothes and cover myself while I was menstruating, and then he would have intimate relations with me. I would wash his head while he was in retreat, and I was menstruating.

كَانَ يَأْمُرُنِي فَأَتَّزِرُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُنِي وَكُنْتُ أَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

[AI] It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ used to retreat in the mosque, and Aisha would come and bring her head close to his so he could lower it while she was menstruating.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مُعْتَكِفًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَجِيءُ عَائِشَةُ فَيُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ فَتُرَجِّلُهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ

[AI] I used to supply the Prophet ﷺ with provisions while he was in seclusion, and he would only enter the house for a person's need.

كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ وَكَانَلَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ

[AI] She used to wash the head of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while she was menstruating and he was in seclusion, taking his head out from the mosque to the chamber.

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَغْسِلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ يُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ إِلَى الْحُجْرَةِ

[AI] I used to wear a waistband while having my period, then I would enter under the blanket with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .

كُنْتُ أَتَّزِرُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَأَدْخُلُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لِحَافَهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to humble himself when he performed i'tikaf, leaning his head towards me while elevating his legs, and he would not enter his house except for fulfilling the needs of a person.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا اعْتَكَفَ يُدْنِي إِلَيَّ رَأْسَهُ أُرَجِّلُهُ وَكَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ بَيْتَهُ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to wrap me in his cloak and touch me on my head while I was on my menstrual period.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَتَوَشَّحُنِي وَيَنَالُ مِنْ رَأْسِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"The Prophet used to bring his head close to me when I was menstruaring and he was in I'tikaf (seclusion in a mosques for the purpose of worship), and I would wash it and comb his hair." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 633)

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُدْنِي رَأْسَهُ إِلَيَّ وَهُوَ مُجَاوِرٌ يَعْنِي مُعْتَكِف وَأَنَا فِي حُجْرَتِي فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command me to wear a waist-wrap (during menstruation) and then have sexual intercourse with me.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أَتَّزِرَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُنِي

"I used to comb the hair of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when I was menstruating." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 277)

كُنْتُ أَغْسِلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عَاكِفٌ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seclude himself, and he would not enter the house except for a person's need. She said, "So I washed his head, and indeed there was a threshold between me and him at the door."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُعْتَكِفًا وَكَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ قَالَتْ فَغَسَلْتُ رَأْسَهُ وَإِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ لَعَتَبَةُ الْبَابِ

[AI] "And indeed, whenever the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) would enter upon me in the mosque, I would kick him out. And he would not enter the house except for a necessity, except when he wanted to perform ablution and he was in I'tikaf."

وَإِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيُدْخِلُ عَلَيَّ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَكَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةٍ إِلَّا إِذَا أَرَادَ الْوُضُوءَ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ was secluding himself in the mosque when he would stick his head out. I would wash it with a khitami (cloth used for cleaning). However, I was menstruating.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مُعْتَكِفًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِفَيُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ فَأَغْسِلُهُ بِالْخِطْمِيِّ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُدْنِي إِلَيَّ رَأْسَهُفَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ وَكَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ said, "I used to comb the head of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was menstruating."

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn az- Zubayr from Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ said,"When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did itikaf he would bring his head near to me and I would comb it. He would only go into the house to relieve himself."

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اعْتَكَفَ يُدْنِي إِلَىَّ رَأْسَهُ فَأُرَجِّلُهُ وَكَانَ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلاَّ لِحَاجَةِ الإِنْسَانِ

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ «كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ رَأْسَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wash his head while he was in seclusion."

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ يَعْتَكِفُ فَأَغْسِلُهُ»
