[Machine] I was at the house of Maymuna bint Al-Harith, where I prepared water for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for ablution. He asked, "Who prepared this?" Maymuna replied, "Abdullah did." He then said, "O Allah, grant him understanding of the religion and teach him how to interpret."  

ابن حبّان:٧٠٥٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ فَوَضَعْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَهُورًا فَقَالَ «مَنْ وَضَعَ هَذَا؟ » قَالَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ ﷺ «اللَّهُمَّ فَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ وَعَلِّمْهُ التَّأْوِيلَ»
