ذِكْرُ أَمْرِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِالِاقْتِدَاءِ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ بَعْدَهُ

ibnhibban:6902 – Aḥmad b. ʿAlī b. al-Muthanná > Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah > Wakīʿ > Sālim al-Murādī > ʿAmr b. Harim > Ribʿī b. Ḥirāsh > Ḥudhayfah

[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said: "I do not see my stay among you to be long, so follow those who come after me. He pointed towards Abu Bakr and Umar and said: "Adhere to the guidance of Ammar, and what Ibn Mas'ood has taught you, accept it."  

ابن حبّان:٦٩٠٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سَالِمٍ الْمُرَادِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ هَرِمٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ

كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنِّي لَا أَرَى بَقَائِي فِيكُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا فَاقْتَدُوا بِالَّذِينَ مِنْ بَعْدِي وَأَشَارَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَاهْتَدُوا بِهَدْيِ عَمَّارٍ وَمَا حَدَّثَكُمُ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَاقْبَلُوهُ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I do not know how long I will stay among you, so follow the example of these two after I am gone,' and he pointed to Abu Bakr and ʿUmar."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Follow those after me, Abu Bakr and Umar, and seek guidance from the teachings of Ammar. And when Ibn Umm Abd speaks to you, believe him."  

الحاكم:٤٤٥٣ – وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ ثنا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ثنا وَكِيعٌ ثنا مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اقْتَدُوا بِاللَّذَيْنِ مِنْ بَعْدِي أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَاهْتَدُوا بِهَدْيِ عَمَّارٍ وَإِذَا حَدَّثَكُمُ ابْنُ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ فَصَدِّقُوهُ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "Follow the path of those who come after me, Abu Bakr and Umar, and seek guidance from the teachings of Ammar, and hold fast to the covenant of Ibn Masood."  

الحاكم:٤٤٥٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي الزَّعْرَاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
