A woman said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I have a co-wife. Is there any sin upon me if I pretend to have received from my husband what he does not give me?" So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The one who pretends to have what he was not given is like one wearing two garments of falsehood."

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً، فَهَلْ عَلَىَّ جُنَاحٌ إِنْ تَشَبَّعْتُ مِنْ زَوْجِي غَيْرَ الَّذِي يُعْطِينِي؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلاَبِسِ ثَوْبَىْ زُورٍ»

Messenger of Allah, may I say to my (co-wife) that my husband has given me (such and such) a thing but which he has not in fact gives me? 'Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The one who makes a false statement of that which one has not been given is like one who wears a garment of falsehood.

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقُولُ إِنَّ زَوْجِي أَعْطَانِي مَا لَمْ يُعْطِنِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلاَبِسِ ثَوْبَىْ زُورٍ

I have a co-wife. Is there any harm for me if I give her the false impression (of getting something from my husband which he has not in fact given me)? Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The one who creates such a (false impression) of receiving what one has not been given is like one who wears the garment of falsehood.

عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً فَهَلْ عَلَىَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أَتَشَبَّعَ مِنْ مَالِ زَوْجِي بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطِنِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلاَبِسِ ثَوْبَىْ زُورٍ

Messenger of Allah! I have a fellow-wife; will it be wrong for me to boast of receiving from my husband what he does not give me? He replied: the one who boasts of receiving what he has not been given is like him who has put on two garments of falsehood.

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي جَارَةً تَعْنِي ضَرَّةً هَلْ عَلَىَّ جُنَاحٌ إِنْ تَشَبَّعْتُ لَهَا بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطِ زَوْجِي قَالَ الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلاَبِسِ ثَوْبَىْ زُورٍ

[AI] A woman came to the Prophet Muhammad and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a husband, and I have a problem. I complain that he gives me this and dresses me in that, but he is lying." The Prophet Muhammad said, "The one who complains about receiving what he has not been given is like someone wearing two garments of falsehood."

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً جَاءَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي زَوْجًا وَلِي ضَرَّةً وَإِنِّي أَتَشَبَّعُ مِنْ زَوْجِي أَقُولُ أَعْطَانِي كَذَا وَكَسَانِي كَذَا وَهُوَ كَذِبٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ

جَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي عَلَيَّ ضَرَّةٌ فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أَتَشَبَّعَ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطِنِي؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, I have a need, so is it sinful for me if I satisfy myself with someone other than the one who gives me?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "One who consumes what he has not been given is like one wearing two garments of falsehood."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ إِنْ تَشَبَّعْتُ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِغَيْرِ الَّذِي يُعْطِينِي؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, I have a problem. Will I be guilty if I satisfy myself with someone other than my husband who does not give me what I want?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "The one who satisfies themselves with what has not been given to them is like the one who wears clothes that do not belong to them."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً فَهَلْعَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ إِنْ تَشَبَّعْتُ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِغَيْرِ الَّذِي يُعْطِينِي؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَهُ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ

[AI] A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a damage. Would I be held accountable if I took from my husband's wealth that he did not give me?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, the one who is satisfied with what he is not given is like someone who wears two false garments."

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِيَ ضَرَّةً فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ إِنِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطِنِي؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

[AI] A woman asked the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a neighbor who is always bothering me but I hate to say that she is bothersome. Is it sinful for me to pretend to be satisfied with something that I haven't been given?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who pretends to be satisfied with something he hasn't been given is like one who wears clothes of falsehood."

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لِي جَارَةٌ أَيْ ضُرَّةٌ فَكَرِهَتْ أَنْ تَقُولَ ضُرَّةً فَعَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أَتَشَبَّعَ بِمَا لَمْ أَعْطَهْ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, I have a husband and a neighbor, so is it permissible for me to visit her and take from her what my husband has not given me?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ responded, "The one who seeks satisfaction from what they have not been given is like one who wears clothes made of falsehood."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي زَوْجًا وَإِنَّ لِي جَارَةً فَهَلْ عَلِيَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أَتَشَبَّعَ عِنْدَهَا بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطِنِي زَوْجِي؟ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

[AI] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a need. Is it permissible for me to satisfy myself with my husband in a way that he does not satisfy me?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "The one who satisfies themselves with what they have not been given is like someone who wears clothes made of falsehood."

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً فَهَلْ عَلِيَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أَتَشَبَّعَ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِمَا لَا يُعْطِينِي؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "One who is satisfied with what he has not been given is like someone wearing two garments of falsehood."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One who is content with what he has not been given is like someone who wears two garments of falsehood."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ said, "The one who is satisfied with what he has not been given is like someone wearing two garments of deception."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One who is satisfied with what he has not been given is like someone wearing two false garments." Chapter.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ» بَابٌ

[AI] She heard a woman asking the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , saying, "I have a need, and I satisfy my husband with something that does not harm me, but it displeases her. Is there anything wrong with that?" He replied, "The one who satisfies someone with what they have not been given is like one who dresses in clothes that are false."

أَنَّهَا سَمِعْتِ امْرَأَةً تَسْأَلُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً وَإِنِّي أَتَشَبَّعُ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِمَا لَا يُصِيبُنِي أَغِيظُهَا بِذَلِكَ فَهَلْ عَلَى فِي ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ؟ فَقَالَ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

[AI] "A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I have a husband but I am in need. Should I say: Give me such and such and provide me with such and such, even though he is lying?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The one who clothes himself with what he has not been given is like the one who wears two garments of falsehood.'"

«جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ» فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي زَوْجًا وَلِي ضَرَّةٌ أَفَأَقُولُ أَعْطَانِي كَذَا وَكَسَانِي كَذَا وَهُوَ كَذِبٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, I am harmed. Will I be sinful if I satisfy myself with someone other than my husband who does not give me what I need?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One who satisfies themselves with what they have not been given is like one who wears garments of falsehood." Abu Abdur Rahman said, "This is the correct answer, and what was said before it is incorrect." 8873 Muhammad bin Adam informed us, from Abdah, from Hisham, from Fatimah, from Asma, she said, "A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned something similar."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ «إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ إِنْ تَشَبَّعْتُ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِغَيْرِ الَّذِي يُعْطِينِي؟» قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ «هَذَا الصَّوَابُ وَالَّذِي قَبْلَهُ خَطَأٌ» 8873 أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ عَبْدَةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ قَالَتْ «أَتَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ»
