the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If Allah wills goodness for a servant, He sweetens him.” It was said, “What would be his sweetness?” The Prophet said, “Allah opens the door of righteous deeds for him before his death and then receives his soul in that state.”  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا، عَسَلَهُ۔» قِيلَ: وَمَا عَسَلُهُ؟ قَالَ: «يَفْتَحُ اللهُ لَهُ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُهُ عَلَيْهِ۔»  

[Machine] He heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "When Allah intends good for a servant, He uses him." It was asked: "What is the use He makes of him?" He said: "He grants him righteous acts during his lifetime until he is pleased with him and those around him."  

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا اسْتَعْمَلَهُ قِيلَ وَمَا اسْتَعْمَلَهُ؟ قَالَ يُفْتَحُ لَهُ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ مَوْتِهِ حَتَّى يَرْضَى عَنْهُ مَنْ حَوْلَهُ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah loves a servant, He grants him success. The companion asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what does He grant him success on?' He replied, 'He grants him success in performing good deeds in the period of time before his death, so that his neighbors or those around him are pleased with him.'"  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا عَسَلَهُ» قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا عَسَلَهُ؟ قَالَ «يُوَفِّقُ لَهُ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ أَجَلِهِ حَتَّى يَرْضَى عَنْهُ جِيرَانُهُ» أَوْ قَالَ «مَنْ حَوْلَهُ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah intends good for a person, He gives him a taste of it before his death." It was asked, "And what is that taste?" He said, "He is granted the ability to perform righteous deeds until he is pleased with him."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا عَسَلَهُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ» قِيلَ وَمَا عَسَلُهُ؟ قَالَ «يُفْتَحُ لَهُ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ مَوْتِهِ حَتَّى يَرْضَى عَنْهُ»  

[Machine] "If God wants good for a servant, He will grant him honey before his death." It was asked, "What is meant by honey?" He said, "He will bless him with righteous deeds before his death."  

«إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ ﷻ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا عَسَّلَهُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ» قِيلَ مَا عَسَّلَهُ؟ قَالَ «يَرْزُقُهُ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When Allah intends good for a servant, He purifies him before his death." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the purification of a servant?" He said, "It is performing righteous deeds that Allah inspires him with until He takes him (i.e. his soul) while he is upon them."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا طَهَّرَهُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا طَهُورُ الْعَبْدِ؟ قَالَ «عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ يُلْهِمُهُ إِيَّاهُ حَتَّى يَقْبِضَهُ عَلَيْهِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah intends good for a servant, He bestows upon him understanding of the religion." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, what is this understanding?" He said, "He is granted righteous actions and then is tested with them."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا عَسَّلَهُ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَا عَسَّلَهُ؟ قَالَ «يُفْتَحُ لَهُ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُهُ عَلَيْهِ»  

"إذا أراد الله بعبدٍ خيرًا استعملَه، قيل: ما استعمله؟ قال: يَفتح له عملًا صالحًا بين يَدى موته حتى يَرْضى عنه من حَولَه" .  

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If Allah wills goodness for a servant, He sweetens him.” It was said, “What would be his sweetness?” The Prophet said, “Allah opens the door of righteous deeds for him before his death and then receives his soul in that state.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 17784)   

"إذا أراد الله بعبد خيرًا عسَّله قيل وما عسَّله؟ قال: يفتحُ له عملًا صالحًا قبل موته ثم يقبضُه عليه".  

"إذا أراد الله بعبدٍ خيرًا عسَّله، وهل تدرونَ ما عسَّله؟ يفتح له عملًا صالحًا بين يدي موتِه حتى يَرْضى عنه جيرانُه".
