[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When Allah intends good for a servant, He purifies him before his death." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the purification of a servant?" He said, "It is performing righteous deeds that Allah inspires him with until He takes him (i.e. his soul) while he is upon them."

الطبراني:٧٩٠٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْحَذَّاءُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا طَهَّرَهُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا طَهُورُ الْعَبْدِ؟ قَالَ «عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ يُلْهِمُهُ إِيَّاهُ حَتَّى يَقْبِضَهُ عَلَيْهِ»

Allah gives opportunities to do righteous acts for the ones he wills good

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If Allah wills goodness for a servant, He sweetens him.” It was said, “What would be his sweetness?” The Prophet said, “Allah opens the door of righteous deeds for him before his death and then receives his soul in that state.”

أحمد:١٧٧٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْأَلْهَانِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عِنَبَةَ قَالَ سُرَيْجٌ وَلَهُ صُحْبَةٌ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا، عَسَلَهُ۔» قِيلَ: وَمَا عَسَلُهُ؟ قَالَ: «يَفْتَحُ اللهُ لَهُ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُهُ عَلَيْهِ۔»

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ بِأَنَّ فَتْحَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ الْعَمَلَ الصَّالِحَ فِي آخِرِ عُمْرِهِ، مِنْ عَلَامَةِ إرَادَتِهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا لَهُ الْخَيْرَ

الزهد لأحمد:٢٣٥٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا اسْتَعْمَلَهُ» قَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ يَسْتَعْمِلُهُ؟ قَالَ «يُوَفِّقُهُ لِعَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُهُ عَلَيْهِ»

"إذا أراد الله بعبد خيرًا عسَّله قيل وما عسَّله؟ قال: يفتحُ له عملًا صالحًا قبل موته ثم يقبضُه عليه".
